Adebayor (merged)

I think Adebayor is a great player but I don't think we need a player like him if we have already signed Santa Cruz and are set to sign to Tevez. I think it's great that we are chasing players like him because, when in form, he is as good as any striker in the league maybe bar Torres but I would definitely have him over Drogba. Would I have him over Tevez? No as he is too similar to Santa Cruz so why buy another striker

Fantastic News. Ah, can't wait to see Adebayor in a Blue MCFC shirt. So hope this goes through, he is a proven goal-scorer and he's an african striker. Is this to appeal to the African league again? Because we missed out on Eto'o

Well, it would answer why we stood so firm with Eto'o. I'm not sure about Adebayor, all the gunners fans I know think that Van Persie is by far the better player. Could Adebayor play with RSC? We're certainly going to have some strength in depth if this comes off, although how Hughes keeps then all happy I have no idea.
I dont think Adebayor and RSC would play together as they are simular. It would be one or the other depending on form with one/two players playing off them.

We need competition for places which is what we didnt have last year!

not a chance will we sign Adebayor simple reason....BOJ and Bellamy

Are you on medication?
I would take him in a heartbeat.
Blues on here need a reality check if they think he isn't good enough.

It pains me to say it but some fellow Blues really need a reality check. The whole purpose of this transfer window for us is to improve the Team/squad. Would this signing do that? Most certainly.

THIS ^^^^^^
Imagine the presser tomorrow, Adebayor, Terry and Tevez. Zippers undoing all over manchester.

Bazzmand quality mate!!! lol!

Because we need a sustained assault on the top 4 all season. We need cover for injuries, we know we cant rely on RSC for a full season so using him sparingly so having Adebayor is a neccesity. He will be a brilliant signing.

Sorry but yes id take him any day of the week

Agreed! 62 goals in 142 games and only 25. Tall and gives us that aerial threat to switch to Plan B (crosses) if our free lowing style doesn't work (eg at Stoke).

Champions league experience and a winning "mercenary" attitude!

Just what we need.
