Adebayor (merged)

The agent didn't say it was in the balance. Pretty sure that was the Arsenal fans judgement of the interview. Though if its not 100% then it can deemed to be in the balance.

It wasn't the agent, according to some.

link for it??pls,im from ireland and dont have talksport over here!!

Sorry mate. For future the link is: <a class="postlink" href="http://new.talksport.net/mediaplayer/media_player.asp?sListenLive=yes&c=&t=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://new.talksport.net/mediaplayer/me ... =yes&c=&t=</a>

The interview was just on.

He doesn't want to leave. How anyone could listen to that and be positive about the move is crazy. The people positng earlier saying IT'S DONE 100% his agent said on talkSport are deluded.

It was very downbeat. Ade is gutted Arsenal have agreed to sell him in this way.

He basically said that other clubs WILL be involved soon enough aswell.

And yes, I realise I'm making another depressing post! Apologies!

Bullshit!! He said no other club was involved!!

Yes he is pissed because of how quickly it has happened and that he had no idea they wanted him out.

I am beginning to think you are a RAG

I can 100% guarantee you that he started off with the words, "its in the balance right now."

He also said there are no other people or clubs involved but in football anything can happen.

Also added that hopefully something will be concluded over the weekend.

It wasn't said in the most positive light

How do you come to that conclusion ?

Some guesswork of course but it's a prediction. My prediction. It makes sense. To me anyway.

I don't want to argue with anyone but I just think it's a very slim chance we have of signing Ade now.

And I'm gutted personally. We still haven't got a champions league player to join us. Tevez and Robinho were very different deals. It's really tough, I accept that but when we get knocked back it's still frustrating.

Ade is a player I really like aswell which is why I've posted so much about him.

We'll still make huge progress, look at our squad and I know I should be happy about that and I am but it's these players who will take us from maybe 5/6 to really mixing it with the top 3/4.

It might just take another season which is no bad thing but Tevez just made me really positive and then we might have another knock-back.

Hell, we've not even been 100% knocked back yet so I'll stop whinging, it's just frustrating, probably more so as Ade is a favourite player of mine.

It was the agent. Just not his agent lol

top players are going to want time to think things through before joing us... Do you think Tevez decided over a few days - I'm sure when he first heard about the deal he was very sceptical, but he came round to it. if we were after David Villa or Eto'o then they too would want time time think about it, afterall we have no CL to temp them.
Its only natural that Adebayour has his doubts even though he will be paid a fortune.

are you being serious cos i didn't listen to it ?

Unfortunately I am yes.

You could just tell from the guys tone that this was at best 20/80 for City. Ade didn't think he was leaving and if he did he expected to go abroad.

No matter what anyone says of course he's going to be hoping someone like Milan come in for him. If they don't then Chelsea might and probably will. That will at least mean he doesn't have to leave London.

Basically City's only chance is if no other offers come in for him.

I'm positive that if he did still come due to no more offers that he could re-focus and accept City, come to love it but that's a BIG IF.

Depressing post #5.
I shouldn't have listened to the interview lol

Mate, I know you want to believe that other clubs can steal ickle ol ciddys targets but ask yourself this, if he thought he was only going to sign for a continental club, why did he do a work permit in mcr? Sounds like you were just listening for confirmation of your current state of mind?

BTW if he doesn't sign who gives a shit...does anyone really believe that adebayor is really going to be a make or break us in the next few seasons? Tevez was much more important

you can't compare RSC with drogba. RSC will know he is squad player Drogba will be first choice at Chelsea

This highlights my concern. RSC is our main man next season. I'd be so much happier with Ade in that role.

and i don't like this being aired like this, i think adebayor is being disresprectful to the club by making it look like hes being forced to sign for us.

they really shouldn't be going on talksport like this
