Adebayor (merged)

Funny lot the Arsenal fans. I totally understand that Adebayor has fell out of favour with them. But on the one hand they're saying he's a one season wonder etc, but on the other saying he's worth a minimum 22m... and more because it's City.

My brother just texted to say Cook has announced on SouthAfrican radio that Ade has signed and will be playing in the tourney there.!!!!!!

EDIT: Will probably not be playing... just found website link see few posts down.

EDITEDIT: Apologies - just seen this posted four pages back. My bad.

Take a look at this. More than likely a fake but interesting none the less.

Fake, if names had been released by accident, i would have expected Tevez's to have been accidently updated too.

Still can't fully believe it. It's like the stoke fans, and them seeing terry at the radisson. These sources aren't reliable enough

Robinho, Tevez and Adebayor coming!

Posted: 2009-07-13 20:36

Manchester City have confirmed that Robinho will be coming to South Africa for the 2009 Vodacom Challenge … but he will only jet in ahead of the Final on July 25.
The Brazilian helped his country to victory at the recently completed Confederations Cup, which finished on June 28, and then also got married to his childhood sweetheart on Saturday.

He will be allowed to have a honeymoon before joining the club in South Africa ahead of the Vodacom Challenge Final at Loftus Stadium in Tshwane.

City chairman Garry Cooke confirmed the news on MetroFM on Monday evening, at the same time announcing that the club had finalised deals with former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez and Arsenal hitman Emmanuel Adebayor.

Cooke would not, however, commit on whether the duo would be coming to South Africa, though he hinted that City manager Mark Hughes would like to bring his full squad.

10 goals in 21 starts this season.
24 goals in 32 starts last season.

Why can I not bring myself to be excited about Adebayor.

The thought of Eto'o have raised my standards way too much. :(!

so your not happy about us trying to buy a forward who has scored 34 goals in 53 games?
when was the LAST time we had a forward with that goals to games ratio in the TOP flight(the goat was in lower divisions)
