Sorry guys, its 530am , i've just woken up and i keep reading about work permits and ranking. Still half asleep soits not sinking in. Whats going on? Can someone summarize?

SSN reporting that adebayor is in manchester tomorrow applying for a work permit to sign for us, for a player to get one they have to have played 75% of there countrys internationals and there country has to have an average world ranking of 70...

hope that helps,

also the work permit will be a formality because of the impact as a player adebayor has! he is a world star and therefore will be looked upon as an asset to english football

It might be good for both clubs. He could benefit from a change.

His goal record alone is enough to show he's a top, top forward.

His physical stature makes him stand out to me, there aren't many like him in world football. On his day he can boss a game.

So even though he has played for arsenal last season, He needs a new transfer because of a change of clubs?
Why would it be a formality? If he doesnt meet the criteria, how could they give him special favours because of who he is?

NAHH,

Read Arsenal-Mania===the arsenal version of this (but 10 times better).

EVERYBODY hates whoreman, he is in it for the money and guess who is in the money...City.

I wish you luck with your team of ego's, come back when you actually are good enough to compete with the TOP 4.

But if the panel are jobsworths it could get declined, and will be subject to an appeal

It maybe that this hearing has the power to review his "special status". I don't know. Wouldn't describe it as a formality. penty of players fail initial work permit applications, and then have to wait for the appeals to go through. That's a hassle, and could prevent the deal from being done

Its a formality because he already works in this country and I think the term they use if he doesn't qualify through the international criteria they call it 'an outstanding talent'

Pam - I should of explained that sorry, The club are big on Privacy at the moment, they want Carrington to be a fortress, nobody in and nobody out until the club say so, no press, if a player goes to one of the hospitals its a forgone conclusion that Someone will get on to SSN or to a newspaper and say they have seen a player having medical in Manchester, if they are shipped to Carrington strate away and a driven to the back entrance and into the complex, nobody knows anything and City can go about there business, its the new way they want to do things, I have no problem with it. Very cautious and very hush hush.

Marvin - the Problem is not directly his Patella its a muscle underneath this that is causing the disruption, although I will mention it and see if I can get some brownie points! lol Its being treated by injections (similar to Kompany) and Physio at the moment, not sure wether he will make the start of pre-season games but he should be fit mid/late Augast.

didnt we have to appeal for jo work permit after it was rejected ?
and same for alves from boro?

it is pretty much a formality its just we may have to appeal but eventually it WILL be granted

The following comment is said in all seriousness; you do know that you are the most likely team to be dropping out of the top 4 out of the current crop!!

This is rather amusing because its not all that bad when it comes from chelsea fans and liverpool fans because its not there place we are taking its yours.. i understand that ur bitter about it and why shudnt u be.. look at the midfield u put out there... cesc(on his way.) Nasri... can be bounced off the ball by a baby girl. In my opinion that leaves u with three top 4 players... van persie clichy and arshavin.. by my reckoning we would have... Robinho adebayor tevez barry ireland.. if they sign lescott and terry. so thats 7 to your 3...

Oh and btw.. did you enjoy that robinho goal at comms or are u an armchair supporter? either way im sure u saw it..

also most city fans arnt sad enuf to go on arsenal mania and shout there gobs off.. you fairys down south are touchy about jelousy and such aint cha..

o well tata chum
