Adebayor (Merged)

To be honest i dont care if he runs round in a Arsenal shirt in his own time. I only care how he plays when hes wearing a City shirt.

Doesn't he have some personal sponsorship deal where he has to wear their brand of clothing? I remember some famous athlete getting sued for wearing the wrong brand of wristwatch. Just a thought to maybe explain his attire. Roberto needs to set an example and give him a polite telling-off when he finally gets home.

Some of the bile against Ade on here is not just an embarassment to Man CIty it is an embarassment to the human race! Get a life, maybhe one day when you have experienced life and death you will realise just how pathetically unimportant what shirt someone wears in comparison.

I can only put it down to the fact that some city fans want failure and as things start to look up more and more they are desparate to have something to complain about, someone to victimise and to do something to upset the squad and team so we don't do too well. Afterall if you can't complain about the full backs or the manager there needs to be something.

As for the Press writing or Rags taking the piss the only people who will turn this into a big deal are those over reacting in a tragic manner and if you think United in the state they are in, are going to be able to turn the loss and the Leeds game and Tevez into history because of an Arsenal polo shirt then you are not very good at Rag baiting and lack a few of the key city fan skills.

I really hope when people read some of the things they said they are pretty disgusted with themselves as the humanity on show is an example of just why the world in so many places is in such a mess!

you try and justify it anyway you want but he shouldnt have done it, simple as.

Ealing in slag City supporters shocker.

I guess it must have been a few days, in fact I wonder if you have ever posted anything without a dig at City supporters.

i don't think its that big a deal in fact i would put it in the same bracket as cookies mistake with Der bomber

its only since i came on here that i realised that amongst my blue brothers there are some right toss pots oh why cant everybody be perfect like me ?

FUCK'S SAKE PEOPLE! STOP IT!

The man was just shot at for anything between 10 to 30 minutes, some of his friends are seriously wounded or even dead, he had to drag a shot teammate out of his seat to the busfloor to save his life, for all we know he came close to losing his own life - AND YOU GO ON ABOUT WHAT FUCKING SHIRT HE HAPPENED TO BE WEARING AT HOME??! I mean seriously, I'm usually not this livid on here but some of you are fucking jokes.

stop it, please just stop it. he's not justified it at all. he's saying whatever he's done is meaningless next to the backdrop of death and terror. I just can't get my head around city fans on this. this thread is as long as the thread about the ambush itself.

adebayor is a figurehead for his people. imagine manchester is as poor as togo, there is no hope of a better life for the average person, except for sport, you can't move to a richer country and make your way. imagine manchester had only ever produced one outstanding sporting hero. that's how it is for adebayor.

the team's participation the ACON is the biggest thing for the people. terrorists attack the team, people are killed, players are injured. the country is in three days of mourning. the fucking CAF won't even let them back in the tournament. the team have to go home. now adebayor has an obvious role to play, he can't just hide away.

his countrymen are all arsenal fans because that was where he became a star. somebody asks him to wear an arsenal shirt. he's only thinking about his countrymen. that's all it is.

far enough if people here don't understand, don't want to accept it. FAIR ENOUGH IF YOU STILL THINK HE SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT.

but please, don't tell me your hurt feelings as more important than what is happening out there. and don't you dare run your mouth off at the boy. none of you are a figurehead for a nation like he is. I feel fairly sure none of you have been the subject of a terrorist attack in the past week, where you were probably the number one target, none of you know what he's going through.

and moomba, just stop squabbling. a long time ago you called me on exactly what you are doing now, and said you'd be happy to discuss the issues but I was going off topic by making it personal. you were right, I hope you realise this is not a constructive way to discuss anything.

THIS IS GETTING A BIT OUT OF HAND. The fact he supports Arsenal is relevant, the majority of Toganese ( think thats correct ) probably support Arsenal because of him. He aint gonna get a frikkin stylist ,PR man and advisor in to do an interview after that shit. He's probaBLY just grabbed the nearest thing and threw it on.
Did yoonitid insist on Rooney removing his tattoo etc. How many English football fans have Brazil, Argentina, Spain shirts etc.
If he had a City top on does anyone think he would of worn it intentionally to show his love and loyalty to us? I dont think so.
