The only people who really care about this are kids who know which football boots every player in the league wears and collect stickers.....surely??

It's really not an issue, footballers are not paid to be fans of our club and in his current mental state I think you should all cut him some slack.

Exactly, it won't happen though, there are too many mard-arses on here. 'It's disresptcful', 'Makes the club look bad', 'this', that', 'boo fucking hoo'. Some right soft cunts on here, very thin-skinned if this is enough to make them feel compromised in some way. Like I said last night, none of us know what the circumstances are why he wore that top. Its funny how NONE of the media, (as far as I know), have picked up on it. Do you all know why? Cos its not an issue. If Fridays events hadn't have happened, and that was a post-match interview well then yes, we would have a right to wonder what the fuck he's doing. BUT, friday did happen, he WAS on a bus for 30 minutes, a bus being peppered with bullets. He DID witness death, murder and bullets penetrating his friends and colleagues. His head WILL be up his arse and do you know what? He has every fucking right to not give a flying fuck about anything other than himself right now. Put it this way, if I saw what he saw last Friday, the last thing i would give a fuck about is upsetting you lot on here, or anyone for that matter, whether I am paid a fortune or not. He is NOT representing MCFC right now, he is in a state of national mourning and any number of circumstances could have led up to him wearing that top. You should all be afuckingshamed of yourselves for putting club before the feelings and obvious traumatic thoughts of one of OUR PLAYERS.

I don't really care if he is a fan of our club, not even bothered if he was a fan of the rags. But he is paid to represent our club, and he cocked up.

Because of the circumstances I don't think there will be any consequences to this and rightly so, but it was a stupid thing to do and should be recognised as such IMO.

will you boo him?

Stupid question, would I fuck. I won't be chanting his name though either. If he comes on the pitch and puts in a good performance and shows he gives a flying fuck then of course he'll get my full support but it isn't good him showing such disregard for City, which is what this is. Even if it's a tribute he should still recognise that he can't go wearing rival teams shirts and he should pay tribute in some other way. The tree huggers excuses of his head being fucked don't wash because he shouldn't be doing interviews if that's the case.

I think it's a sad state of affairs that a City player shows such ignorance to City and so called fans slate other fans for showing disoncern, have a bit of respect for the club you support FFS

Your right P606, One of the talksport presenters though has mentioned it in passing when talking with Ray Parlour, and he said "players lap up free t-shirts when they're in the training ground..doesn't matter what type it is" and no more was said. So even the station that loves to have a dig when it can isn't make a big deal about it.
people should lighten up.

All depends on how soft you are and how easily upset you are. I have a few other things going on right now in my life, things which when I see Ade wearing an Arsenal top I think, 'oh', nothing more. Like I said on another post, it would be interesting to see how many of the slaggers off of Ade would dare ask him to his face why he did that.
