Because like i was born in Manchester and support the local Manchester team, i was born in England and support the national side.

As an Englishman I support the England team, irrespective of which clubs make up the players! They are representing the country of my birth. (Many of you will be too young to remember an England team of the mid 70's containing 8 liverpool players).
And I also agree with your earlier comments IP... we are really sounding like rags nowadays..

yeah like being narrow minded that you should find it hard to support the country of your birth because of the fact that your rivals players are in the team,....laughable to say the least but in fareness its a free country (i think) so we all have the right to express what we think as we both have done....
