Adebayor to Milan ?

It's my new way of saying "I've heard something concrete about this". I used it in the Higuain/Gago thread and thought that it had a nice (and somewhat piratey) ring to it.

YAR!

I'll drive the lazy bastard to the airport. All you who have man love for him are clowns.
On his day he is quality but 1 in 3 is not good enough. Yes he's better than we've had for years but like Robiniho it's frustrating when they just don't bother. How does he decide? flip a coin before the game, heads I'll try tails I'll do fuck all.
How did he keep jumping under all those balls against spurs?

'one in three isn't good enough ' is just wrong... Especially when as a striker for us his record is BETTER than a goal every other game. not 1 in 3... Better than 1 in 2...

You know Drogba, Torres, Rooney all have bad games... Dunno why Ade has to be better than them in your eyes to be worth it.

Anelka got the same shit when at City... "He doesn't care" or "doesn't chase like Dickov"... Well i dont give a shit cos he scored 20+ goals in a season for us.

According to his agent, we desperately tried to sign Nikola Zigic but we would have only been able to do so once we had managed to sell Adebayor.

If that's true, we officially have muppets in charge of transfers.

If we sell Adebayor i'll be gutted.

Your info is singularly incorrect.
It’s the facts reported by the Italian journos Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport etc:

Yesterday the City’s agents were in Milan for a dinner with Galliani and Braida.
Theyr mission: a swap for Pato. The price? Adebayor plus tot millions.

The Milan position? Pato is not for sale. THEYR offert: Huntelaar for Adebayor.

Sorry for my bad English…

Re: Zigic, I think there is a big difference between some non-committal comments to an agent, expressing a very conditional interest in their player... and actually trying to buy them. you think he'd have jumped on birmingham's offer if he thought there was an offer from city around the corner? no, he'd have at least waited until he had an offer to help him negotiate a better deal. City have probably got a hundred irons in a hundred fires, they'll talk to anyone who could be of interest just to see what's what. No sense in ruling things out. and Zigic + Dzeko to replace Adebayor and RSC might have made a lot of sense. RSC is a good player but frequently injured and has found no form whatsoever

As for Ade, some of the stick he's got this year has been ridiculous but whilst he's scored enough, he's never recaptured his early season form. He doesn't want to be a target man, he wants to run at players, but that means he hardly ever shows in the box. His passing is pretty woeful so it's hard to use him in a more progressive role. He has pace and power, but isn't exactly what you'd call clinical. He hasn't been on the same wavelength as the team for a while, every time he wants to run past everyone and score. We've got a whole bunch of players who want to do that, which is why we look devastating one week and clueless the next. They don't want to play in a pattern, they want to do their own thing.

If you assess our strengths, we have tremendous pace and power, but we also have a midfield that can't/won't pass it around accurately, wingers who won't/can't cross, and strikers who are inconsistent finishers, who don't show enough movement off the ball. My guess is this summer is about redressing those problems, introducing more tactical intelligence, better passing, better crossing, better movement, better finishing.

I don't think he'd be happy playing second fiddle to anyone next year... It would appear he's never really settled here. If Milan will offer good money and we can get a more clinical replacement who is happy to hold the ball up, it probably makes sense for everyone.

No problems pal. I just lifted the link from somewhere else.

I'm not sure what the agent would have to gain from saying that after he had signed for Birmingham though.

Huntelaar is a name I haven't heard mentioned as yet in this window. I don't think he'd be too welcome either after shouting his mouth off about City a couple of years back. And lets face it he hasn't done much at Real or Milan either.
