Adebayor to PSG for £12m?

Thing which tottenham dont seem to realise is that the same rules apply to them as apply to everyone else. They made a big stand last year of keeping modric saying he had a contract, he had to stick to that contract etc etc.

Then they want adebayor to become a contract rebel so they get him on the cheap, the arrogance and ungreatfulness of that club is astounding, ive said it beofre and ill keep saying they need to realise that if they want a seat at the adults table they have to stop ordering happy meals.

thing is ade holds the power in a sense. if we want him out then we`ll have to sell him to where he wants to go in an essence?

ade holds no power his wages dont count towards ffp i think so we could quite easily sit him for 2 years and 2 years is a long time in football, all he has to do is look at tevez and how he came crawling back if he thinks being a contract rebel will get him where he wants to go .

It's probably something wages connected.. I think "player City don't want" is not used to describe Adebayor but to name him (can't express myself on english well here, hope you can understand what I want to say).

Another word you could use is surplus to requirements. Your English is good.

Thanks but surplus to requirements is not what I wanted to point about..

I think their use of "player City don't want" was simple a literal replacement to usage of "Adebayor" again.

It's like - Sergio Aguero scored amazing goal. The great Argentinian delivered wonderful volley bla bla bla (where the great Argentinian would be equivalent to "player City don't want)

In English, we call this a synonym :-)

You would say that in the media, Adebayor has become synonymous with "the player that City don't want".

Your English is superb :)

Personally I think Adebayor is becoming synonamous for being a bit of an @rse - his comments re City who are paying the bulk of his inflated salary have not been very good. I certainly dont want him to go on the cheap and certainly not to a Premier League club and absolutely not to Spurs.
