Would need to be Defoe plus £8m for me to even think we had a reasonable deal out of it.

Defoe isn't that bad and gives us another option, an out and out goal hanging speed machine. Aguero can do that role but is much better technically than Defoe.

£8m plus Defoe I'd definitely take maybe even slightly less. Defoe may be past his best but he can still do a job as 3rd/4th choice striker. Balotelli remains unpredictable and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see another suspension whether it be warranted or not this season and Aguero/Dzeko are gonna suffer fatigue/injuries at some point so a decent back up for me makes this worthwhile. Think both clubs would be happy with this deal as well

Seriously why get defoe? He'll just block Guidetti coming through. He really isn't that good either. He isn't great in his build up play and has to play with another striker to be effective.

Also why would Defoe, who wants to leave Tottenham because he isn't playing enough, come here to be our 4th choice striker? I'm not turning my nose up at him because he's not a multi-million dollar striker, I just don't think it makes sense to sign him when we will only need for a six month period. He's 29 and has been rubbish for years. He's scored nothing this season and has been poor overall for a couple of years.

I cant understand why people look at a player 3 or 4 years ago to judge how good theyare and if we should sign them.

I mean he is shocking he hardly played for spurs at all this season. Why do people want to get fucked over by spurs so hard I just can't understand it. Never in a million years he is good enough for city even 4th choice.

I have never really rated Defoe but i think he would be ideal as a 3rd/4th striker..

Half decent finisher, has lots of experience and knows the prem inside out..


If we got a couple of injuries we would be snookered, Defoe would be ideal cover.
