Adebayor to Spurs

Could it be we think we've moved on from Spurs and that if he's on loan he can score goals against Chelsea, rags and Dalglish lovers?

Spurs would have put up a great challenge for us last season with even one good goalscorer. They created countless chances but no one finished them - that is why giving them Adebayor is very dangerous.

Strange that some foreigners (Spanish language) on Twitter say we're trying to sign Bale but no English media reports even a hint of a rumour.

Now Bale strikes me as a Mancini type of signing, whereas Lennon doesn't. Top player Bale.

Bale is still desperately over rated, but he and Modric are the only two players we should be looking to get from Spurs if we're giving them the luxury of a half price top striker. Not just because of what either would bring to City but what they would remove from Spurs.

The silence has been deafening regarding Bale transfers this summer it seems. Perhaps the impact of the two Inter games has finally worn off.. Or maybe people are just waiting till the end of the window to try and throw a cheeky bid in with the CL attraction.

If the idea is that we want him to be at Spurs to take points off our main competitors for the title then I'd be making it only a loan until summer in case Spurs are doing really well, and if we're still paying such a large chunk of his wages then I'd not only make it that he can't play against us but also say Everton and Aston Villa so that these teams could then take points back of Tottenham.
