No way we would loan him to spurs full stop. A permanent deal involving the swap suggested might have been possible but now it seems spurs have their begging bowl out again looking for charity. Why would we help a competing side with nothing in it for us ? It's not like the owners care about the money and he was signed pre ffp so it really has no effect on us on the financial side of things.

To be perfectly honest I think it's better for us to take our punishment. The money's wasted but we need to make an example of players like adebayor as well stick him in the reserves if he won't take a sensible approach to playing first team football.

He can have his money but he can have his career as a football player. Not that I think this would bother him.

So bottom line this guy is a wum and talking compete shit. No truth in this at all.

Why wouldn't we? Save us a ton of money if they even pay 2/3 of his wages. He can't play against us. But he can play against our real rivals. Spurs are no longer a threat. We have moved on. As soon as Modric leaves, they move backwards. If he can help Spurs beat or draw against Arsenal, Chelsea, Pool, and United, it is good business.

If we were going to loan him out to another Prem club, I'd rather we did it to a club who finished lower than 5th last season, personally.

I think it's a bit soon to say 'Spurs are no longer a threat'. There's no way I'd allow Adeboayor to go there and we contribute to his wages! Let him go to Wigan on the same terms, that'd suit me.

I'm strongly in favour of this move.

If Spurs finish within 6 points of us this year, something will have gone very wrong.

But I'd much prefer them to finish 4th than either Arsenal and Liverpool.

Liverpool could be dangerous if they get straight back in the CL, they have good incomes and an owner willing to spend a little. They also have to be seen as regional rivals. Part of 'the plan' seems to be that Manchester strengthens it's position as the centre for club football in the north.

And Arsenal failing to qualify for the CL would be v. funny indeed.

But he wouldn't go. Lets talk about things that are in the realm or reality.

I'm surprised the new rich boys PSG haven't been linked with him.

They have and the arrogant prick rejected them.

Agree 100%. Imagine the recriminations if the Dippers and Arsenal both missed out on CL.

And this is the problem we have. We can't send him where he doesn't want to go. Same problem with Bellamy. If a player is willing to sit out and collect a paycheck, they basically control the negotiations. Thus, if you have a possible destination, like Spurs, you take it.
