Adebayor

Afraid to say there's some idiots on bluemoan lately.. Since the team of the 60's - late 70's, we've had only THREE strikers that we could call world Class... Francis, Anelka & Adebayor. (Quinn wasn't in the same league as these 3).

Only 3 seasons ago, we had Mpenza & Samaras, then came Bianchi... Now they were shit....

FFS some of you need to get a grip or find something else to do on saturdays/sundays.

Adebayor is class and will score at least 20 this season...

Totally agree with you on this mate but there are a lot of folk on here who don't even rate Anelka let alone Adebeyor. On a recent thread when asked if he would like to see Anelka back at the club a poster stated that for speed and skill we already have better in Roque Santa Cruz.

It's like the SWP haters who think that Vladimir Weiss will do better for us without any concrete evidence that he can hack life week after week in the Premiership.

I think people are clutching at straws blaming Adebeyor for our current winless streak and I agree with you that there are plenty of goals in him this season.
 
My views on Adebayor aren't that he's crap or is playing crap now, they are things he does and the way he plays that if he changed would make him better. Some see it as a plus if a striker gets about the pitch a lot, "tracks back" lol. If you want to get the best out of Adebayor he needs to be made to stay where he can do the most damage. An Arsenal fan posted on here the other day agreeing with this saying that he tries to be like his hero Henry, gooners should know as they've seen a lot more of him than we have. I think Adebayor has bundles of ability but could have more of an impact if he stuck to being a central striker more.

Would it be fair to say the aerial balls that Crouch received were crosses from the flanks rather than those that were booted upfront from spurs half?
If Ade was serviced with good crosses like what Crouch received from the likes of Lennon I will guaranteed he will scored a lot of goals. Just check his history.

To expect him to convert those that are hoofed from our backline is asking too much. Some of those are suicidal passes.

Everyone of us would be thrilled to see him score or head in a goal from a hoof kick from Given. That would be a miracle! Thats what we should do, say a few Hail Marys everytime its pumped to him

For the 3rd goal, Ade got skinned by Krancjar. I can only say that Ade made an effort to try to stop him at he penalty box. But please do not say Ade was disinterested or lazy. IMO everthing he did was Murphy (law). Like I say $shit happens.

Right on and good serviceable crosses from the flanks which he can thumped it in with his headers!
 
Fucking useless **** when he can't be arsed playing and just stands there like a statue but when he actually tries (Chelsea game, Arsenal game) he looks top quality. Far too inconsistent for me so far this season.
