ade is a great player, one of the best. but to rate a player on the day of his game and not going into preconceptions ade was absoloutley shocking yesterday. no effort, no grit he couldn't even ber arsed to leave the pitch.

No effort? I suggest you watch the first goal again

He's the finest striker I've seen playing for City in my 20 years of support.

You must have stopped going when Anelka was here then.

effort usually consists of putting in a reasonable shift for the whole time spent on the pitch.
If i ran for about 10 minutes of 70 odd minutes in a match im sure id be slated for effort, even if he is only a forward and doesnt see as much time on the ball as other players.

Well he obviously ran at some point during the game but in general he was and is a lazy sod.

adebayor doesnt do anything but lose headers, and it amazes me that Hughes still uses him to mark ppl on set plays..gave up a goal vs liverpool, OG in the Chelsea game, he was on klasnic today for the 3rd Bolton goal. He gets on shot on target every 6 games or so. pathetic. id rather see tevez play striker and Ireland play where tevez does in the 4 2 3 1

Richards--Toue--Lescott--Sylvino
De Jong---Barry
SWP----Ireland----Robinho
Tevez

Not having a go, but yesterday he was pissing me off, why doesn't he jump for headers?

At times he didn't look like he was actually bothered.

Since the arsenal game and that celebration he's been a different person.

Also, why does our only tall striker spend half of his time (and I do not exaggerate) hugging the left touchline? Yes, pulling defenders away from the box may be a good thing, but surely his primary function is to be in the middle to receive crosses from the wing. Next he will be taking corners. As for being our best striker in the last 20 years, I think not...Niall Quinn was better for starters.

Pissed me off aswell, always does with the headers. Hes about 6ft 4, surely thats enough of a reason to jump and win a header, chances are he will win it, but never does jump.

Yesterday SWP won 2 headers against that massive defender, if SWP can Adebayor can, no excuses.

For all you that slagged him yesterday;

1. He was the reason City scored the first goal. His pressuring of the Bolton defender led to us gaining possession
2. Held the ball up superbly and dragged his defender out of position to make the space for Richards to score.

Someone actually called him Lazybayor yesterday. If he was that lazy we wouldn't have got back on level terms first time round!

i think ade is class

the person who called him lazybayor was Freestyler on matchday forum tut tut:P!

am a grass;)
