Re: Adebayor
cheers, got the hangover to go with it now. I would add that of the games we lost last season:-
Chelsea away we were absolutely bossing, at 1-0, were then denied a stone wall penalty by Twattenberg which with Mario on the pitch was 2-0, and doubtful we would have last from there
Sunderland away - absolutely battered them but just could not score, then lost to a last second offside goal;
Everton and Swansea - played very poorly in both (does any team not play badly a few times a season?) BUT in both cases the refs were atrocious (Walton and Mason) and made it really difficult for us to have any pattern to our play, which DOES make a difference
Arsenal away - well and truly stuffed, deserved to be beaten
Bayern Munich - 2 clear pens before they scored could have made a difference (admittedly played poorly after that, but this is bayern fucking munich away
Napoli away - lost in a hostile atmosphere to a very good side, it can happen - the eventual winners got a bigger beating there
scum in fa cup - hit badly by ACN and no Barry, Dzeko, Mario available from memory - I think most would say we did very well that day after a clueless performance from another clueless ref
Liverpool Leage cup - they shaded it over the 2 games, again ACON and Mario missing etc and not sure Bobby took it as seriously as Dalglish
Compare the above against some of the superb football we played in so many games, then I am really struggling to understand the downer on Bobby - yes we lost a few games, and yes Bobby made the odd mistake, but who doesn't (apart from nipholmes of course). Anyway fuck this I am off for another pint of water!

He took over from a tactically inept manager who had spent a quarter of a billion pounds on a mixture of players who did not gel, and in a lot of cases were not cut out for a successful dynasty -in some cases they were just more bother than they were worth and in others simply not good enough - the former including Adebayor, Robinho, Bellamy, the latter including Bridge, Jo, RSC, Given (no offence to Shay, a good guy and good keeper but Hughes had basically fucked off Hart for him).
Bobby took that over, he has pretty quickly sorted out the poor performers and the poor attitudes, and transformed us into title winners in only his second full season. He has transformed the whole attitude of the playing side of the club, and turned us quikcly into winners. Yes he has spent a lot of money, but probably actually less than Hughes did (although I am too pissed to add the numbers up) and a fair degree of it has been the "City premium" but he has by and large got it right, and we now have a team of winners.
I think someone on here slagged him off for the fact we lost at Everton - fucking hel everyone has the odd dodgy resultl, the scum lost at home to Blackburn and drew at home to Everton, are we saying their manager is completely fucking useless - I hate the **** with a passion, but he isn't really, is he?
Why cant people accept we have a manager who is successful, who is a winner, who has made a huge amount of progress in 2 and a half years, and is very likely to continue to do so? We can either embrace him (as 98% of City fans have done) or we can mutter that "we should have won at Everton and we did not do very well in the CL" (10 points in a veritable group of death was hardly shit was it?) - I know what I am doing - thanks Bobby, I am 53 years old and I am optimistic as a City fan for the first time in almost 40 years - sorry I am pissed but the negativity of some people drives me fucking mental
Fucking hell BBS,if you`re pissed and wrote that, then you should drink far more often mate.
Fully agree with everything and God knows what some of these people are thinking, when they slag Bobby off, accusing him of spending millions and only winning the PL on goal difference.
Who gives a shit ? Well not our Owner, nor Khaldoon, otherwise his 5 year contract would never have been signed by them.
Bobby has made mistakes and I bet he realises that himself, but its mistakes that you learn from and then turn those negatives into positives, which in turn has already turned the Clubs fortunes around.
Well done Bobby and thank you Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon for trusting our popular and winning Manager.
