Adverts that drive you mad

Shit operating system and actually opposite of what the technophobes that use them proclaim. They aren't easy to use, they are counterintuitive.

Unnecessarily heavy with the daft titanium casing.

I'm typing this on a pixel 7 pro. It's not a small phone but feels very light compared to an iPhone.

The new Andrex ad.

If you’ve not seen it, make sure you’re not eating or have just eaten. And press the mute button.

Apparently it was launched in conjunction with Bowel Cancer UK. There is nothing about bowel cancer awareness in it.

Another example of crass, needlessly explicit, revolting modern advertising of things we do need to see/hear/consider. The art of subtlety, humour and creativity in TV ads is absolutely dead.

I’ve seen a variety of adverts lately, both on TV and billboards, promoting a healthier lifestyle. Which is great.

But they all seem to come with taglines like:

“70% of smokers die too young”

Or

“83% of fat bastards die before they should”

If you’re going to hit me with stats. At least make them mean something. Even if you’ve made them up. Rather than fucking nonsense like that.
And in writing at the bottom it says something like 87% of 51 people surveyed and it’s never a whole number. How can you survey 44.37 people?
