Afghanistan

This is so sad, normal Afghan's just wanting to lead some kind of life being used as pawns in a power game, The Taliban are a terrible terrorist organisation, they have bo respect for anyone who doesn't buy into the Sharia concept. I'm all for limiting immigration into this country but by fuck I'd happily help a normal Afghan family out, it saddens me more than almost anything I've seen in my six decades in this planet, heartbreaking.
 
The army guy who served his country and set up an animal shelter in kabal and has trained hundreds of vets is being left there by the wallace , he has a plane organised that will take him, his staff and all the animals but wallace wont authorise the plane in even though commercial planes are being allowed to fly in

Anyone left at the airport when we leave will be killed , it will be a massacre
 
Great to see they will find some sanctuary here & they are welcome, however lets hope the govt equally finds homes for our homeless people, homes for ex soldiers on the streets and homes for other people struggling to find accommodation - something they consistently lose sight of.

The plane he ordered would take 267 so him and his staff would leave 200 seats spare with the animals in the hold

Red tape ! when ministers take charge they are unable to think for themselves the Generals should get everything they need to bring all our citizens home

Yeah i read he is going to pack the whole plane , the animals going in the hold makes the arse of a ministers words of we have to priorise humans not animals absolute bollocks , you would think he would welcome extra seats on a chartered plane , will he backdown that is the question, he is fucking with lives here

I wont link it as it is the sun but the taliban are sending letters to afghans who helped the soldiers to tell them they are going to be killed , CNN got a letter sent to an interpreter , also a brit was told by them at the checkpoint at the airport that if the world wasnt watching they would have shot him

Alas unless we're prepared to commit a large part of our armed forces into Afghanistan then when the U.S. pulls out so must we, the place is a basket case and personally I'd be loathed to put any more British lives at risk in a hopeless cause. Our European comrades don't seem to keen on leaning a hand either and the Afghans didn't exactly throw themselves into defending their new way of life . All we can do now is help out best we can unless the Yanks or more likely the cavemen now in charge say that's it and be well rid of the place.

Joe Biden has absolutely fooked the lot of it up and we should be getting our men and women out of their quicker than another bid for Harry Kane.

which thankfully, it looks as though is happening, I saw something that said all British personnel gone in 3/4 days?? Not sure if true but I hope so.

then the next time America wants to invade somewhere, we tell them to do one.

Get really annoyed that Joe is taking all the flack on this. We knew about this 4 months ago but we dragged our heels. We now don't have the Forces we have had in the past. No Air Force, no Army and a Navy that has 2 lovely aircraft carriers with no planes.

We have dragged our heels. Got that plank Raab on at the moment giving reasons on how good we are doing but we should have started earlier. Sound familiar??

Well he’s taking the flack because he was warned and warned to either delay or abandon plans to leave and he ignored them.

I listened to a former Colonial who oversaw British operations in Afghanistan for years say the blame is squarely at Biden’s feet here.

The fact he brushed off people falling to their deaths from clinging on to US planes as “yeah that was 5 days ago” shows what a contemptible person he is.

I feel sorry for the young lads and lasses that served there.
