To a degree, yes. ISIS opposed the Taliban/US peace deal, this about derailing that deal. The US will take a Afghanistan controlled by the Taliban who oppose ISIS.

We can’t put the clock back I know, but the troops have been sitting ducks all week...3 US marines hurt.
What I don’t understand is why if everyone was pulling out back to the states a bomb was exploded which hurt the people in Kabul
