That's not to say he couldn't do it though...

He had a big impact at Barca when he stepped up to the first team also he was deeply invloved in their youth set up. It'd be an exciting opportunity I think. I'm more than happy with Mancini though.

You have to wonder if he could bring the immediate success he'd need to, whilst being able to overhaul the club to fit his ideals though. Given enough time i'm sure he'd be a success, it's just the length of the transition period that would be the problem.

Maybe in a couple more seasons when we're properly established and he'd have a solid, secure base to work from it'd be a pivotal appointment for the future direction and image of the club. I can't help feeling it'd be a hell of a gamble to appoint him as a Mancini successor in the near future (considering Mancini would have to fail for him to need a successor meaning we would still be in a state of uncertainty rather than a stable club).

You'd have to imagine that it'd also mean a total overhaul (again) of the club behind the scenes also.

I agree, it would have to be an appointment into a stable club as getting CL football is clearly key to the clubs future. Assuming Mancini can take us there, which I firmly believe he can, it will be interesting to see if he struggles in Europe as he did at Inter, that may well be the point where we look for the next man.

Guardiola: Continued the Barca philosophy with one of the most talented club squads in the world, whilst bringing in such stars like :

Pep is completely unproven as a manager, what he has achieved at Barca may well be great, but that's more down to the culture already installed there, look at how shit Rjikaard actually is for example.

As much as I love Mancini, he probably wouldn't have won anything with them for another 25 years if Juventus and AC Milan hadn't fucked themselves. AC Milan are only just recovering from Calciopoli, 5 years later, Juventus are still no where near recovery.

A team that came behind Real in the league for the previous 2 years. He shipped out a lot of the 'old guard' and completely changed the way they work of the ball as well as promoting several players such as Busquets and Pedro. He doesn't get the credit he deserves imo.

Agreed, can't believe the Mou-sucking going on in here - Guardiola upped the work rate, refined the system, instigated their 'extremely high line & constant pressing' approach, put his faith in Pique, Pedro and Busquets, put Messi up front in a false nine role...

In short, he honed Barca into the best football team ever. As successful as Mou has been, he'll never compete with that.

And what about the cups he won at Lazio and Fiorentina with little money and pretty poor squads? Mancini's a winner and given time he will get us the silverware we crave. But like everything else it's all about how long our owners are prepared to wait.............

I don't have any lack of respect for him i just want to be proven wrong on my feelings towards him.

I won't deny the fact that i've always wanted Mourinho as our manager.
I have nothing against Mancini, i want him to succeed
