Agent Fees - City 2nd in the PL - 1/2/20 - 1/2/21 - £30,174,615

That's pretty much the Premier leagues normal gate receipts going out of the game entirely. Disgusting this has been allowed to escalate to this level. Agents don't even do anything particularly special, as proven by how often a players dad/brother/cousin/friend or in Harry Redknapp case, dog, with no previous history will act as their agent.

Should limit agent fees to a miniscule fraction of that figure, cap it at a generous 1% of any transfer fee and all other income comes from the player directly. Broker a £1 million deal and you get yourself a cool 10k in your pocket, broker a £100 million mega deal and you've just made yourself into a millionaire overnight.

It’s pretty much our whole season ticket revenue going out in agent fees. 40 odd thousand peoples hard earned dough going directly to agents. Wow.

Until all the big clubs across Europe stop paying agents to get an advantage of signing a player, nothing will change.

Unfortunately the likes of United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich will never change the way the tap up, chase, and pay over the odds for the best players in the World.
When did United last buy 'the best players in the world'?

Apart from Phil Jones of course!

That’s a gross over-simplification. Without agents, players would be expected to negotiate with clubs on their own, and would undoubtedly be exploited and had over in the process.

They are a necessary evil, I’m afraid. They don't exist in a vacuum.
Had over for 160k a week instead of 180k. Cry me a river. 10m a transfer can get fucked

The agents should get paid. But by the person they’re working for ie. The player! What clubs are doing paying the agent is beyond me.
