Aguero injured after a car accident in the Netherlands

Much better.Had you made such a comment initially, rather than the hysterical nonsense you actually did, then you would not have been the focus of such negative attention.

In regards your input,we were never going to fully address the issues of squad depth and quality within the windows Pep has had opportunity,it was always going to be a marathon rather than a sprint. However,i think we have done great and provided we can cope, and suffer no more injury, then i see no reason we wont be challenging for the title and every other cup.

Looking at the positive.....The short rest will do Sergio good,he's never put so much effort into the start of a season :-)

The problem we had was allowing it to get to the stage where we needed so many new players. Keeping the likes of kolorov and clichy way too long and investing in players who had already had their day, sagna and Demichelis spring to mind. The recruitment of younger players is the way forward and it's only now that we seem to have a handle on this. Not may come good young players like Nastasic and Savic but already good like Sterling, Sane, Jesus, Stones and Mendy.

We will be thereabouts. I remember Silva playing up front in Pellegrini's time and in a couple of matches Pozo played up front! (What happened to him?)

The quality of the squad even without these players is too good for most of the sides we will be playing and that should keep us right in the mix. Chelsea isn't a must win game today. Be good not to lose but if we don't we would be 3 behind maximum which is nothing. If we can get to 19 games in and be on 40-43 points I would fancy our chances. That's 24- 27 points from the next 13 games. Very doable.

We are lucky that much of Kun's recovery is during the international break. I reckon he will miss the Stoke game and be back for the Napoli game.

In a short time he will be able to resume training to keep his fitness up and he will avoid twisting and turning until the ribs heal.

Above all, we are lucky - and so is he - that his injury was not serious. I don't want him well soon. I want him to take his own sweet time. As for not having cover, we have probably never had such good quality cover. Yes, Gaby is now our only ´specialist' striker (he isn't a specialist striker, but let that pass). In case anybody hasn't noticed, our recent goals have been scored by Sané, Sterling, De Bruyne, Delph (as well as, of course, Kun). With the kind of football we play, this team has goals in it from many positions, from all over the field of play. We are blessed.
Take your time, Kun. You are one of the. most loved players at this club.
Oh, and by the way. City may pay a lot of money to these players, but the club does not own their very lives. What Kun does on his day off is his business. Amsterdam is not Mossoul.

Good points mate. I'm just adding that I've had broken ribs from a car accident and I was right as rain within 3 weeks.

I am convinced that the reason we allowed it to get the stage where we needed so many new players is linked to the three-year wait for Pep to see through his Bayern project. Otherwise we would now be overloading an expensive array of Pep rejects.

Sanchez would have been the easy way out rather than getting the best from Sane, Sterling & Jesus who should all now be scoring goals regularly, as they are doing, if they are to be 'City quality' players.

We have lost Aguero but we still have as good or better attacking 'backup' as probably any club in the world. We are able to beat most of the teams in the country, with or without Aguero. We just have to get out there & do it.

Imo you have hit the nail on the head saying this isn't a 'must win' game. The key imo, is, whatever today's result, good bad or indifferent, ignore it come Monday & continue playing the same quality football, all season. We have played equally great stuff, with different lineups.

Keep turning over the shite teams like we are doing & don't drop stupid points like we did last season, & we will be right in there at the death, even if we fuck up sometimes v the top 4 or 5. That's the crucial thing, not to let great or bad results go to our heads, just maintain & even improve on, this level.

That will naturally mean, we get a few wins v 'top' sides anyhow, during the season. We have the squad, to keep picking up points.

Which youth team player

It’s also not exhaustion it’s more about putting muscles, ligaments etc under more pressure

Well my first thought was Lukas Nmecha but I thought I would trawl about and now see we don't have a great deal of youth forwards to select from.

Best to wrap them up in cotton wool then, they won't get a muscle pull or a ligament strain that way, ffs they are young fit healthy lads, if you can't play at that age when are you going to play, there is a difference between running them into the ground and playing on a weekly basis, if anything Jesus should be used to it, he seemed to play a hell of a lot of football after we bought him and before he joined us in January and was chomping at the bit to play whilst being held back for that first few weeks.

I am not looking for a row with you tbh only wanting to see some of our youth players given some meaningful game time, do you think any **** in red had heard of Rashford before he popped up in an injury crisis and now he is what he is, sometimes an explosive talent and other times looks a little lost but still he is now a first team member and a full England international, Nmecha was firing England youth to a trophy in the summer so Rashford is his direct comparison, who knows what he could do, the way we set up chances he could have a field day, he of course could curl up with the pressure but that is life and all a learning experience and that is the crux of it atm for City youths, they get to a level and are starting to stagnate, a series of poor loans for some of them and then out of the door, who knows what it may have turned out like for any of them if they got to play with the quality players in our first team, I feel one or two of them would have been better served with that route than sent on loan elsewhere but we will never know now.

That was the reason but it backfired to the point where his first season was a complete write off and its cost a shit load of money to sort it out.

Not the end of the world if we don't win today, we didn't take 3 points at Stanford bridge in 2012 and 2014. Still think we have enough talent on the pitch to ask some serious questions of Chelsea.
