Aguero injured

32 year old who has spells injured every season gets injured again. Who could have foreseen this? Luckily we have significant depth in the striker position......
I think the depth effectively comes from the midfield and Peps willingness to go with a false 9. I personally like two up front and don't think we've actually seen an effective partnership since Kun/Tevez, but that's just not how Pep rolls.

Luca is close to Sergio so of course it could just be that Aguero thinks he is more ready than he is but we will soon find out.

Sane's recovery would suggest maybe, just maybe you have a point here. Saw the kid play last night, didn't even look like he was out for a while, still sharp as ever. I don't know if Dr Cugat is good enough or not but I am sure Pep must have done his home work.

Funny isn't it. The one guy who doesn't see Cugrort is the one who's having no issues.

Pure coincidence, I'm sure.

We should be acquiring Aguero's long term replacement now. It's unfair on Jesus going into this season with the responsibility in front of goal all his. Sterling and Mahrez are inside forward/wingers and although we score lots of goals from other areas of the field we are very wasteful in front of goal. Last year it cost us big time.

If it is 2mth how about a short term deal for Edison Cavani, he's a free agent, definitely be a focal point up front

I haven't seen any complaints about De Bruyne's form since Cugat operated on him.

I know its a football forum and everyone gets to write whatever bollocks they want, but complaining that someone widely regarded as one of the very the best surgeons in the world with a list of clients that looks like a FIFA world XI is operating on our players is beyond the stulidity you normally see.
