Calf injury, will definitely miss Argentinas next game and is a doubt for everton

In 2014 there was talk of him adopting a new diet and treatment to stop the muscle injuries - the same plan adopted by Messi.

Since then he's had 4 big injuries -

1)pulled hamstring at 2014 world cup while playing for Argentina.

2) knee ligament in 14/15 vs. Everton.

3) Hamstring playing for Argentina this time last year

4) Calf muscle October 2016 while playing for Argentina.

Can anyone see a pattern emerging?

And bear in mind that the knee ligament injury vs. Everton was a contact injury, which can be put down to a bit of bad luck and agricultural defending by Besic. The rest are all non-contact and should not happen.

It certainly begs the question as to what he is doing differently when he is with the national team. Is he eating differently. It does not look like a coincidence.

this is exactly why we needed striker cover....

Very few players playing at the level Kun does will ever go through season uninjured.......it was so predictable that it would happen and that we would be left short.

I rate Kelechi but nowhere near the level.....scored a great goal for his country yesterday but he isn't consistent and without KDB as well we are considerably weaker......lets hope its only a little problem and he doesn't miss anymore games.

This wouldn't be a problem if we had back up.......people were raving about the transfer window while many people pointed out planning for the future is brilliant but there is alps the here and now that needs to be looked at.....

Lets see if Sane gets a start now........needs to start stepping it up as people were saying he could play up top as well.....he hasn't looked upto speed yet but now would be a good time to get there.

Could be the travel that is doing it. I know that they travel in the best possible conditions but long haul flights play havoc with your body... I know from experience!!!!!

Lets hope its nothing serious and a precaution

People doubted we needed another centre forward over the summer.......I think they are wrong and with KDB out as well if we lose Kun for a few games then we are going to find teams growing in confidence against us. Kelechi is a good player but nowhere near Sergio at present. Neither is Nolito anywhere near the presence upfront as Kun is........our squad lacks strength in depth when you start to lose key players

edit...a;ways happens with the international that we lose players cause of them....every bloody season....Kompany KDB Silva Kun Sagna all have got injuries with their national teams in the last 2 seasons.......
You couldn't find a better player, happy to be on the bench than Nacho.

So what would be the point in a third striker?
