Aguero

Plain and simple, Kun didn't have his best game yesterday from a finishing standpoint. As most of you have mentioned though, his speed and pace gave arse problems, and we all know that a lot of the chances he missed on in that game will be in the back of the net in another. All that being said, it was frustrating... Not because I think he isn't a phenomenal player but more because I was near sure arse was going to grab a late goal for the draw and it was going to be because City (and Kun in particular) missed a couple sitters.

Was anyone else absolutely shocked on that chance when he flew into the right side of the box, beat the defenders and kicked it straight at the keeper? I thought for sure he was going to do his signature slow but just fast enough tuck-in shot to one of the low corners... you know the ones that roll just inside the post for a goal... I could not believe he missed that one and in that way.

But you know what it is? He's spoiled us is all.

Have no fear. Kun is going to terrorize this league for years to come.

And I like the green boots.

The end.

played well yesterday and with stoke next up i reckon his and silva's movement
i would imagine woodgate will get his red card.

There are certain posters on this forum who are so sure they are absolutely right about everything, that anyone who doesn't agree with them must be either stupid or juvenile.

"nashark" is a notorious example. But, as this thread shows, he certainly isn't the only one...

I'm not sure what some people expected him to do with the 2nd chance. He plays a one-two with Silva, skins 2 defenders then does the right thing in drilling it across the goalkeeper. The problem was that in that moment, Szczesny produced some top class keeping to deny him. Look at his anticipation - he suspected Aguero was going to go across goal and dived BEFORE the shot. Great save, but phenominal play by Sergio too.

With the 1st one, he should definately at least hit the target, but look at the 1st touch to set up the chance! Great control, and most players would not have even got a shot off, due to mis-controlling the cross from Zabaleta.

Then his final shot, which was not even a half chance, was a whisker away from being a wonder goal.

What's wrong with Serg? Fuck all.

To be fair, it wasn't 'great' keeping. The anticipation was very good, but the save was easy. Aguero didn't angle it well, and IMO should have got his head UP and drilled it near post.

I suppose you also think Zabaleta should have got his head up and realised the post was there?

we have three of the best strikers in the world in aguero, dzeko and balotelli , and i think they all make a massive contribution when they play. They are not robots and will never take 100% of their chances , but these three would walk into any european team at the moment .Putting things into perspective it wasnt long ago when i thought jim tolmie was a magician.

This discussion isn't worth having if you think a £35million striker being 8 yards out and hitting it straight at the keeper and a right-back striking from 25 yards out and hitting the post is in any way similar. I'm just saying if Aguero would've looked his best bet would've been bombing it in the completely open near corner.
