Aguero??

Wont go down well but completely agree.

That said, once he is surrounded by like minded players, I'm sure he will revert to his usual high standards.
It's patently obvious that his game is suffering due to the pedestrian half arsed football we play before we get anywhere near the final third.
His body language is that of somebody who wants this season to end like the rest of us.
There's nothing to worry about going forward.

Well, I only live 100 yards from Big Neil of "swinging chicken" fame. Can't believe that was more than 20 years ago?
Oh, and I also went to school with "Taguey" of "one man pitch invasion against Bury" fame.
More than 1200 games since my 1st in 1971, so I'd probably class myself as somebody who didn't have a choice.

Far be for me to revert to the original topic, but I do get the impression that something has changed about Aguero recently. Not sure if he's simply not fit, or trying too hard. but he's definitely struggling.

I have been saying it for weeks about Aguero, he also never passes to Navas even if he is a better option, he's just playing for himself not the team.
I'm sure Pep will nip it in the bud though...

I agree Pablo.

What I want to see, next season, is Aguero treated the same as the other players.

His own game has been weakened by a lack of management. It's like nobody has asked or told him what to do for years. Simple things like getting into the 6 yard box in front of a defender rather than hanging outside the box or behind two defenders at the far post. It looks like he hasn't been challenged to improve or told when he's doing stuff wrong & whatever he does, it's ok because he's doing us an honour by playing for us.

Imo he can go up another level again as a player, with the right help & the team would go with him.

Seems to me we are scared of upsetting him, so we can't even sub him off half the time, even if it's wise, to keep him fit, in case he gets upset that he doesn't score 3 rather than 2 etc.

Unless he starts to adapt, he will be half the player when he loses another half a yard of pace.

We need to reign in every player anyhow & turn them into a genuine team who work for each other.

That's not quite right tho is it just watched the video
Well, yes it is right, but thanks for following me around trying to correct me on things.

I think this is very pertinent - if Aguero continues to 'cruise' (to paraphrase what you've posted), I don't think he will ever fulfil his own potential, nor will he ever be considered truly world class and amongst the best ever.

Navas hasn't scored a league goal in like 3 years. I wouldn't pass it to him either.

I don't think he's been challenged or inspired or bollocked or anything. I think they just send him out & hope he finds a way to win the game. Sometimes he does.

He needs to be given some new ideas & direction.

The last sentence is pivotal.

I have never seen a bunch of players who never work for each other like City , even Manure who are poorer in quality man for man work better at keeping possession and work as a team than we do and its why we find ourselves in the precarious position we do more so than anything else , ie injuries , change of manager announcement and who it is etc.

Tomorrow we find out if we give a hoot about Chumps League qualification or not.

We know MP won't do anything different he is not capable of changing what he does tactically or motivational wise so we have to make do with the players wanting to finally win a game against a side with as much to lose as us as such albeit they will end up with at least 70 points and will qualify again.

This season in the premiership at least has been nothing short of a disaster but we have two games to salvage something at least.

Maybe the fact that not winning tomorrow will mean we have to rely on other results to keep us in the hunt for a Chumps League spot will be the spur we need but I wouldn't bank on it.

Think he's somewhat altering his style to avoid injuries. When he came he was alot more explosive but I think he knows that he's risking muscle injuries by playing in such a way.
