I wonder if the world cup will have a bearing on his return date?

Out for another 3-4 weeks
That is hopefully the most unfunny april fool ive ever heard. Please please please let it be.
Who said the WC is in his head? any more so than any other players anyway.Ticket For Schalke said:He needs to get the World Cup out of his head, his employers dont care if he wins the WC but do care if we don't win the League.

I think Messi is just slowly getting through games at the moment. He's only really applying himself in short spells within a game. I think his mind is firmly on the WC.Lavinda Past said:aguero93:20 said:Who said the WC is in his head? any more so than any other players anyway.Ticket For Schalke said:He needs to get the World Cup out of his head, his employers dont care if he wins the WC but do care if we don't win the League.
Good shout. If our international stars were all worried about missing the WC, Pellegrini would probably end up playing up front with Kiddo and Reuben would be in central defence.
I can't believe that any real professional would be that shallow.
Agüero is worried that he could further aggravate his injury if the 25-year-old rushes back to first-team action ahead of the World Cup.
“With this recovery I am trying to do my best to be able to play again, but I cannot do it in a hurry,” Agüero told DirecTV.
“I do think to myself if something happens now, I will lose the rest of the Premier League season and the World Cup.”
Messi has always done that, he walks about slowly until the ball enters his area of the pitch and then starts sprinting, it's how he conserves energy, Tranny is exactly the same if you watch him.

-- Tue Apr 01, 2014 12:04 pm --

KippaxCitizen said:I think Messi is just slowly getting through games at the moment. Shouldn't be rushed back from a muscle injury anyway regardless of whether the world cup is on or not.Paul Powers Bar said:Agüero is worried that he could further aggravate his injury if the 25-year-old rushes back to first-team action ahead of the World Cup.

of course he is going to be worried about missing the world cup
it only happens every 4 years, City are going to be winning league titles, etc for years
