AJ not cutting it?

He can be a match winner when he wants but I think the nub of the problem is that he's not a winger. He'd be far better played behind the striker where his ability to find a pass and finish would be better used. I'd rather see Junior Hoilett or Victor Moses in the wide positions. Both are far more damaging from that area.

I think he is decent. I think a lot of people don't rate him because he isn't all over the pitch like Tevez. He has scored & been involved in quite a few important goals this season. He nearly scored yesterday out of nothing.

Completely bootled it against Dunne on a number of occasions, Watch him carefully as he no longer uses his right foot, gone backwards and will soon be through the door.

Watching him yesterday at Villa Park you could clearly see he was playing to orders.

Rather than bombing down the wings and being given a free role, he was holding his position, playing short passes, and covering when the attack broke down.

He must be frustrtated at times.

And yes, there were times in the game when I was just as frustrtasted with certain parts of his game.

I really don't like knocking our own players and give them a lot more slack than most on here so it really does pain me to say that I whole heartedly agree

You watch him for the full 90 (or however minutes he plays) and I'm always left with a huge feeling of disappointment. Take today, I can think of only two moments that represented real quality, the shot that hit the post and the dribble into the box that he cut back to Silva. The rest of it was the usual mixed bag or over run attempts at dribbling and underhit passes. His workrate doesn't seem to be anywhere near the level of his teammates and I can fully understand why Roberto is sometimes left tearing his hair out

I still maintain that he is more an impact player against a really tiring FB in the last 30 of a game when we are looking for the kill.

What also frustrates me are all the people that see the highlights and then slag Mancini off for not giving him more minutes, if only they saw the rest of his game

+1

impact sub for me

can't remember him putting in a 90 minute performance

Agreed. Whe you are playing yet another side who parks the bus at home breaking up play and keeping possession is a key factor towards winning the game. Considering the fact that I had Emile Heskey down as Villa's best defender at half time kind of gives you an idea as to the tactics employed by Villa yesterday.

He is not doing enough for me either, now I know he has been in and out of the team recently but his job as a winger is surely to beat an opponent and get the ball in the box. He just seems to stop in his tracks come inside and shoot!

C- Must try harder

over all he would get in a lot of clubs starting line up

Clubs, such as?

Utd? Chelsea? Arsenal? Liverpool? Spurs? Toon? Stoke? Villa? Swansea? Sunderland?

Maybe he would get into the Norwich team, but he wouldn't be able to get into any other team currently in the top half of the table.
