AJ or Bale?

Both have their qualities. I feel bale would struggle more against a right sided evra or cole. He relies on mainly pace to beat his man. AJ can just jink his way past. Saying that I am trying to think of a fast , clever right back that could trouble him. Richards could have him all day long IF he had the brain to go with his physique. To answer the op I would like BOTH. Bale and kolarov on left side would be most effective left side in the league.

Can't you go on the premier league fantasy football thing and it tells you the percentage of people who have choose each player.

Would give a decent picture of what football fans in general think

Bale tops the midfielders on 41% and Johnson just erm 5%

Good work

Doesnt tell the full picture as Bale is a guaranteed starter whereas AJ isnt so that will affect that stat, but i think most would agree Bale, at this moment in time, is rated better by most even if he isnt.

I checked out the transfers in though after the last gameweek which tells a better picture.

Bale has been tranferred in after the Stoke game buy 146,000 people and Johnson just 12,000

People go for goals and assists and that's where Bale will hands down beat Johnno, plus he'll get star man more times aswell

Conclusive me thinks

Bale is playing well, and is only young, so he's only going to improve and add more to his game, as is Johnson.

Not always true. You'll find many City fans who believe Micah was a more complete player aged 18 than he is now aged 22.

Far from 'conclusion' in so many ways!! Who else challenges Bale for his position?? I'll tell you, NOBODY. Bale will get picked every game whereas AJ has to fit in with the plan of the week.

If AJ had been bought at the beginning of Hughes' tenure, we'd see a different picture regarding these two players.

Without doubt.

It's conclusive as far as who people want in their fantasy team. They both are classed are midfielders, you can have 4 left wingers in midfield if you want. I've got Bale in my fantasy team and not AJ, and i'd probably pick Bale over AJ at the minute in my real life team, that's not to say AJ won't surpass him soon though but Bale is on fire nothing he does is going wrong
