I know a guy who has a box at City in the Colin Bell Stand and he can get as many tickets for away matches (including Europe) as he wants

fair enough I suppose for him paying £50k+ a season?

Don't see much wrong with that.

A couple of my mates upgraded to corporate a couple of years ago and you stop receiving loyalty points but can have a ticket for any away game. They paid over £1,500 a season so it is fair enough in my opinion.

As for the guy paying £50k I'd expect them to be free!

they're not!! nor is the food and drink in the box!!!

Yeah, I know they're not free. Bloody should be though at £50k!

so if your on tc your at the game in the away end just like i said on thursday, thats why the points total started so low!
So if you choose to travel with a better more organised trip like spike its fxxk you well thats piss poor and we slag of the rags that made there travelling away fans do it a few years back!
I hope spike sets up a supporters club branch to and all the fans that have supported city in europe going to poland ,greece and denmark can have the same leg up and for the others on here laughing at other blues who havent got a ticket but are members of a supporters branch GROW UP

A mate of mine git a ticket via a supported club over the weekend. He was told last week he may not get a ticket as the OSC hadn't got the number of tickets they'd applied for, but at the meeting was told the OSC had in the end got the full allocation of tickets they'd applied for as the ones that was sold by mistake had been returned. He's on 4000pts!!!

Once again I say name the branch but you won't because this is Chinese whispers!!

No I wont because there'll be people on here who are in that branch and it's not Chinese whispers cause I've seen the ticket, this lad is coming with us. Also as others have said the club are watching this thread. People who say they wouldn't have accepted a ticket even if they've not got enough points are lying, and have probably done it them selves,. I have.

Would be interesting to see if your mate got loyalty points for purchasing that ticket ...... i doubt it , but i bet another member of the supporters club who is not going but has the correct points got the additional loyalty points ......... the supporters clubs claim that they can only get tickets if the members have the correct points ......... its just indirect point whoring.

I think you might be pretty spot on with that assumption. Rather than getting more tickets than they're entitled to, I think it's more a case of pooling as many qualifying seasoncards and getting the tickets on those then distributing them accordingly to those that want a ticket. I was a member of a branch for several years and they offered to use seasoncards with high points on them to apply for tickets for members that might've not had enough points. As it happens, I never offered mine up as over the past 9 years I've had enough points to get tickets for every away game I've wanted to attend so the extra points are of no real interest to me. I've only ever done it to help a mate out and that's only been about 4 or 5 times since the loyalty points system started.

Just read a few of the posts in this topic.

Personal view is that there are a combination of factors

1. Thomas Cook (stand to be corrected on this) got 800 tickets
2. Official supporters clubs would have got a load
3. Club officials, friends, hangers on etc would have prob got another couple of hundred
4. Demand would have been high for a game in Amsterdam

Only my opinion, but i would be surprised if more than 1000 actually went on direct sale.

Can't see this post going down too well.

On the other side of the coin, you are going to get people accused of being a member of a supporters club just for tickets which they generally aren't applicable for. Supporters clubs are more than just tickets (raising funds for charity, travel organisation, suggestions to improve the club through meetings). I'm not a member of one as I'm not in a position to contribute to all areas of a supporters club, and wouldn't abuse one for just getting tickets.

I'm not accusing you of this mate, but just warning you that some will whether you're arsed or not :-)

I Have 5,300 points
I have my amsterdam ticket in hand, ferry tickers booked, hotel etc

There are people on here moaning about not getting a ticket but its your own fault- Im part of a supporters group and get most of my tickets through there (ajax, utd away, newcastle, spurs, arsenal, chelsea etc)
Any game really and I get tickets
Its the smart way- a good laugh to be part of a supporters group but most egotistic fans think theyre *too good* to be part of one and want o build up their points on their own

Im sorry but im 18 and I have managed to get a ticket no sweat despite having less points than a few on here who havent
Its not difficult to cough up a tenner to join one

Whether it goes down well or not, who cares

I go with my younger brother and father- all of which are blues as everyone on here
I play football regularly on saturdays so have to give my season ticket in 110 away a bit etc so its also difficult to get to as many away games due to this and my points would not build up as quickly to watch city and get tickets
No matter what you say we all do these things to go to watch the club we support and love, anyone who denies it is just..well, in denial

I go to every supporters club meeting, and on various occasions have given tickets away for NOTHING if i have a game in order to suit another member
Me and My father especially contribute as much as ANYONE to the club so whatever is said about me on here its impact is little

Not that I have to justify myself to anyone on here anyway, I appreciate some people would not like the fact I have a ticket to such a game - but im 18 and lucky enough play football at high enough level in which I cannot get to games sometimes- my points total isnt too bad atall

who cares? i do for a start. you think you are being big and clever well i think you are just a smarmy twat. rubbing it in blues faces that you've cheated your way to tickets. i have checked your ip and will be informing the club that a branch within a certain radius of your address are flaunting the ticket system.

In response to 2. According to a post higher up, and direct from City, they got 10% of the allocation so approx 260, not a "load".

Stand by your greater knowledge Cleavers, to be honest i dont know that point 1 is correct either, was just told that by someone who i would have thought is likely to know.

Either way, as far as i can see, 1500 tops went on sale.
