What i struggle to understand is that if ISIS want an Islamic state, why the fuck are we are involved anyway. Let them have one and deal with it after its established. Less deaths all round surely.

Can anyone tell me this.............

Before the beheadings started, I'd never heard of Alan Henning's plight and of him being kidnapped..............but I understand he was kidnapped months ago. Why was there no coverage of this before the threats of the beheading? How many more British Hostages do these militants have?

Excuse my ignorance here.

I believe a number of westerners have been kidnapped but not by IS, certain countries(france?) have been known to pay ransoms, unfortunately some have fallen into IS hands, the lack of coverage may be down to diplomatic efforts or a lack of reporting by the media, how many kidnapped citizens they hold has not been made known, chances are we are not sure of the numbers

I reported what was on twitter before all the media were reporting it.

I repeat I am desperately sad for Alan Henning, his family all the others who have been killed and their families.

ISIS are barbaric, brutal, sadistic, vile, evil animals, no doubt.

However all i am saying is other Governments have had their citizens freed. UK Gov could have done the same. Dont anyone on here kid yourselves that the British and US elite Establishment give a flying fuck about any of us inclu the late Alan Henning. Why cant we stay out of the Middle East? How many Muslims have been killed?

For all those who say take the gloves of, lets go after them, now its time to smash them blah blah blah......yeah coz that worked out so well in Afghanistan and Iraq right? Err wrong we beated a hasty retreat. I dont want ANY British soldiers going into that hell on earth that is the current middle east. I dont want any repeat of British soldiers cowed and humiliated hising in their barracks like in Basra when the Sadr army where out gunning them. I dont want any young British men dying for nothing and i dont want MY money paying for any more destruction of Muslim lands and societies. Look at everywhere we have "intervened" all we have left is basket cases and more trouble, instability and evil than before.

This is a war that cannot be won, for the likes of ISIS and their fellow travellers, its victory or martyrdom. Cant you see that? They want US and UK forces to get bogged down fighting a guerilla war, street by street in a terrain that favours them. All you people advocating for British troops to be put in harms way again, to be killed, have limbs blown off, to suffer mental illnesses why dont you enlist instead of being arm chair generals?

Exactly. It seems like they have an endless supply of hostages and they are being brought round on a conveyor belt. We are being kept in the dark on so much of what is going on.

Early August, a BM member (forces) hinted troops were going out there. Not posted since later that month.

The guy was in the know and decided to stop being so open with comments...

Not the brightest idea if he knows serving lads who are prepared to move..

It doesn't take a genius to work out that boots may end up on the ground there but it's not a good idea to compromise security
