Best track I’ve heard so far this year^

Total class this album, from start to finish; BULLSEYE for me!

Well, this is a very nice and chilled early morning listen, can see me giving it plenty of air time. A hit for me

Marillion - An Hour Before Its Dark
Absolute BULLSEYE
Love them live, but albums can be patchy. Three minute pop it ain’t but this album has melody, musicianship and message in abundance. The last track ‘Care’ is a masterpiece that I think even the band were surprised how brilliant it is.

Already listened to this and I still can't get into any of the Hogarth albums, think Ive tried most including this one and whilst it's not a bad album doubt I'll listen to it again so it's a MISS for me I'm afraid. That said I've heard others say that live with Hogarth they are great.

2 weeks without a nomination, far too long.

I moved from Spotify to Tidal this year, and get a far wider range of album recommendations. It's just alerted me to the new Let's Eat Grandma album "Two Ribbons", on which I'm wavering between HOT and BULLSEYE.

On the face of it a a couple of Norfolk schoolgirls with a joke about a comma and a synth, but then I saw them play the 11 minute "Donnie Darko" live and it all made sense.

Their third album starts slow but gets in your brain, particularly "Insect Loop" and the second half is mesmeric.

I've put you down as a HIT and you can always upgrade later if you want.

I was hoping for the new album in the review thread to be up but it isn’t so rather than watch the rags I’ll listen to this

I'm crap at doing album reviews but I'll just say that Fontaines D.C new album (Skinty Fia) and Kurt Vile's new album (Watch my moves) are hits for me.
There's a few songs on each album that will probably grow on me and one or two that I just don't like.
But, overall, I'm enjoying them both.

Nomination
Thunder Dopamine.
So a new Thunder album lands, and a look at the track listing 16 tracks double album, now I like Thunder but doubt anyone needs a double album, bound to be fillers and samey sounding songs. This will be a hit /miss I suppose. So let give it a go
Wrong Blueparrot, oh very wrong, I played this it flew by and wanted more, Yes it's a Thunder album with great hard rock songs, but there are jazz tinged songs gospel tinged song, southern rock sprinkles, a Paisian cafe sounding song, whatever that means. Danny Bowes on great form as is Luke Morley's exceptional guitar playing.
If this isn't the Hard rock album of the year I'll be shocked.

BULLSEYE
