Aleix Garcia

He played very well today and his passing from deep lying midfield positions is far in advance of what is expected of someone of his age.

Never a winger, but impressed by him. Obviously has the rawness of an 18 year old, be there is clear quality there. Very good technically and easy on the eye. I wonder how he compares to Glendon (or Evans) in the u21 (for those that have seen him play for them) - I've thought for a while we could do with an EDS midfielder capable of providing a holding/central midfield option for the first team, in case we suffer more injuries in that position. We dont really seem to have any central midfielder on the brink yet though (not counting Manu Garcia as he is more an attacking option in my eyes).

I was impressed with his passing and the composure he showed but not with the defensive part of the role he played as a holding midfield player. Not actually sure he made any key passes in the game either although he certainly hits good balls to the wings from deep. Evans did that for fun as well so I need to see more of this guy to see what he is really all about. Kean Bryan is better for me by a street

Great on the ball but poor when challenging for it.

Needs to win most of the challenges he makes if he's going to play that position. Not sure the holding job is his best role personally though. Very talented footballer.
He obviously has fantastic passing ability as he demonstrated yesterday but I felt he was caught out for pace or even just sheer laziness when we lost the ball in midfield and he was too sluggish getting back.

Was very impressed with him otherwise though!

Garcia has the problem every deep lying playmaker has.

Scholes, Pirlo, Xavi etc were not incredible tacklers in midfield. Its whatever, its not what you pay for.

Scholes would not let players waltz past him in midfield, ever. You can't do that in the Premier League. Garcia will have to improve in that area to even stand a chance of making it at City. Kean Bryan could play pretty much all the passes Garcia made, & still kick the shit out of 3 oppo mids at the same time.

Ive never seen Bryan play in such a composed manner as Garcia possesses - he has better vision, technique and is far more cultured in his play IMO - given Bryans superior aggression and industry, they would probably compliment one another.
