Aleix Garcia

For his first senior outing thought he had a good game yesterday against arguably one of the best midfields in the premier league. Along with Manu did not appear overawed by the occasion and showed some lovely touches. Hopefully with our new manager he will learn how to close down and dispossess opponents before they cut through our defence. This of course applies to all our current midfield.
Well done Aleix. Certainly one for the future in a midfield holding role.

I'm absolutely fucking shocked just how good this player is already. What a game he is having against Real Madrid's youth.

Promote him to the first squad next year. Sell Fernando and Yaya, sign an expensive CM that this team and Pep needs (Thiago is my dream, but there are other options of course), and just fucking promote Aleix as well.

He was responsible for conceding the 3rd goal.

But over all, I think he might become good player for us.

In the 85th minute when the scoreline was 2-1 for the opposition, of course he was gonna play the risky ball. Also, after playing about 180 minutes in 3 days (+travel in the day of rest), I don't think it's fair to blame him for that goal. Especially as on numerous occasions it was his sublime passing that created space for our wingers, but oftentimes it was them who couldn't beat the men in front of them.

I think Guardiola will find him impatient.

We were chasing the game, but with 30 minutes to go, we had loads of time, and I felt he tried to force things too soon with a miracle pass.

Whenever we had a prolonged period of possession, gaps opened up, but Aleix was not patient enough to just go through the phases, moving the ball around to find a gap, he would just try and play that killer pass which Real's defence cut out easily.

His passing is fantastic though, just a joy to watch, and no one else on the pitch can hit the ball like he does, it's such a flat, driven trajectory that all the other players' aerial passes look loopy and soft.

Superb potential,he reads the game superbly, hes very composed, not afraid of the dirty stuff and has a killer pass,His main weakness is a lack of pace but he makes up for that much of yhe time with his positioning and intelligence - a future star imo.

Reminded me a little of Ian Bishop today. Lacks pace but wonderful passing range for his age.
