if Hughes is buying players with no thought at all! Haha, why has he strengthened the exact areas of our team that needed strengthening then? we needed a player or 2 who are good hold up players up front, we needed a striker who can chip in with 10-15 goals (as most of our goals are from midfield) and a player to work his fucking socks off up front! we have been lacking in this area in all of these aspects and is a major reason why we finished 10th last season! and oh look, Hughes signed Santa Cruz, Adebayor and Tevez - exactly the type of players we needed!
then in midefield we had some lovely attacking players who were scoring all of our goals and some good defensive players but we didnt really have that central medfielder who would strike a balance between the two - oh, fuck me look, he signed Barry - exactly the player we needed!
then we needed to strengthen the defence as we shipped far too many goals last season - and look Hughes is trying to sign top 4 quality defenders!
