No where near as good as cucurella defensively and is quite small. Not sure would be the best option would prefer sosa if cucurella isn’t available personally
5' 7" compared to Sosa's 6' 2" .Although some good things come in small packages, cue (my wife laughing in the background)

Reminds me of my first wife (5' 2"). She always said 'they don't make diamonds as big as bricks', to which I'd respond with 'poison always comes in small bottles'

We used to laugh, but not for long.

Not physical enough for Premier League demands. No for me. Even if the price is like a bargain. Interesting that this guy has not changed the club through the years, he is still Benfica's player.
If we wanted to add a second LB (in addition to Cucurella) not the worst option...Liverpool put up 6 goals on Benfica in CL but Salah did nada...he got a few looks, but no goals or assists basically playing against this guy...I'm not saying he'd be a starter for us or is some kind of defensive stalwart, but in watching him I don't see him as anything worse than average defensively while being pretty adept going forward...

I have my own opinion about him. He is 27 so for me a little bit old to even consider him and why is he still Benfica player? If he would that good, he would have played in a better club.

Again strictly as a back up left back...a 4th back if we decide to go that route...I'm not sure where this narrative that Ake is a good option at LB in a back four has come from? He can play on the left in a back 3 no problem...in a pinch at LB yes...over a course of games, not really...

Tell it Guardiola, bro :)

Every time he plays there he's class.

What are you basing this on?

Ake is pretty good defensively as a LB but I think it is noticeable when he plays there that opposition players shut his passing down more easily compared to Cancelo, Zin, or even Walker. You could see why pep might not fancy that for a whole season.
