How did the other young players perform? Particularly interested to hear about the likes Mee, Tutte and even Kay.

I thought Tutte did quite well, worked hard and put one or two decent balls in when he got forward. His set pieces were a disappointment but that's nothing new with City! Mee seems to have stood still since the Youth Cup win, I can't see him making it at this level. Kay was between Tutte and Mee in performance, lost possession a bit easily on occasions. Boyata had a good first half before being subbed, he made some decent blocks and interceptions, if he doesn't go out on loan I can see him getting a fair amount of action this season in the less high-profile matches.

Interesting, thanks mate much appreciated. Tutte seems to have been touted quite a bit, can you see him any of the others making it City?

I have to agree that Mee has never really impressed me, even when we won the youth cup it was by outscoring the opposition, the defence always looked shaky. All for giving players a chance but Boyata looks a far better player.

I'd like to see Tutte playing some more, he seems to have a bit of composure on the ball and uses it well.

Well I'll stick my neck out, when I first saw Boyata in the youth team I felt he had a touch of genuine class about him so I'll say that he will definitely make it.

Tutte is probably a 50-50, I think he's one that needs a good loan spell to help his development.

Kay and Mee - probably not tbh though I'm sure they'll make a good living from the game at a slightly lower level.

Re: Alex Nimely-Tchuimeni

I agree with the praise Nimely is getting, I thought last night he looked very good, definetly the youngster that shone the most in that squad. The only downside was the missed chance at the end but everyone makes mistakes and it's better to make them in a pre season friendly than in a league or cup match. I have high hopes for him though and don't think it will be very long until we see him make it into the squad at some point.

Re: Alex Nimely-Tchuimeni

Out of all the kids on show last night, for me Nimely was the one who looks most likely to make it (Boyata & Cunningham look good too)

Tutte has ability and a lot of energy but i don't think he will get an opportunity to break through here. Mee & Kay don't look up to it at premiership level at present.

Tutte played rather well but all 3 did give the ball away too many times and too cheaply. I thought Nimely was excellent bar the sitter of a miss near the end, lets hope Mancini puts him with Tevez and Adebayor in training to learn from. Mancini seemed quite impressed too, let him stay on for the full 90, lets hope he gets chances in the cup games this season
