In the Gundogan thread Tolmie said Ox's agent is trying to sort a deal. If he's cheap then it's a good shout. Lots of talent, English and young. If he improves his consistency and work rate he'd be a great squad player.
wouldnt surprise me if Ox tag is around 10-15m

If he was foreign no one would want him. Don't see a lot of difference between him and Ross Barkley(who I also don't really rate).

One of the most overrated English players of the last 20 years. Has no quality other than speed, and though he's young is nowhere near good enough for us.

Lol no point stressing yourself out. We've been linked with him for years and its the same old story, this one's no different. Who would he play for? We'll have kdb and sterling on the wing plus we'll also have nasri too.

Unless we want him to be a bench warmer?

thats where your wrong. KDb cannot play wingback as ox could and that could one of few reasons not to rule this one out yet.

Poor player with bad touch we shouldn't be wasting our time.

There are better players already in the EDS.

Can't see Pep wanting him.

It's hard to see us being in for him unless there's a feeling he will play. Part of the issue at Arsenal is that he hasn't had Wenger's trust. Remember that earlier in the season Ramsey and Ozil both played wide right before him. I think if we want him we will have to convince he will play ala Sterling.

I think everyone that Pep wants in his first team squad will play. He likes a relatively small squad - although I suspect he will appreciate the need for more players than he prefers, given the demands on English clubs - and, as you know, rotates players and changes formations to suit so I don't think he will want us to sign bench warmers.

Barkley is quality and unlike Ox you can already see signs of development in his game. He needs to leave Martinez though.

Pep may not even want him as a first on the team sheet option and may see him as a prospect that can be a useful option. Also, we have to recognise that we need a few English players in the squad and therefore they need to be amongst the best England can offer, which Thee Ox may actually be.
Can't underestimate the importance an English core will have in terms of the media opinion of us. Whether you care or not, how the media portrays you as a club/team is important, and I think it affects the referees, too.
If we have hart, stones, and a performing sterling and oxlade chamberlain, the media will suddenly become a lot more positive. Especially if those 4 are key in the England team going forward.

That being said....I like oxlade chamberlain, but I'm not sure he is going to propel us to where we want to be?

Well, one difference is that Barkley has scored more goals and assist this season in the PL than Chamberlain have done in his whole career. I can understand why people think Barkley is overrated, but I can't see why some doesn't rate him at all.

Don't forget Delph!

I'll back any decision Pep makes as he is a genius, but I really can't work this one out.

I do not rate the player, and its a very bold move to sign him to play in a role that he has never played in before, to a high quality.

Who is always injured aswell

At 1:14 He singles out Chamberlain as being "a magnificent player" in Bayern's 2-0 win over Arsenal 2 years ago.

That's like you say 2 years ago when he was young enthusiastic and playing at a top club was all new and exciting! Move it on 2 years and he's going downhill plus injury prone.
