Alex Sandro interest

Manchester City are ready to force through a deal to sign Porto left-back Alex Sandro, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

The 24-year-old Brazil international is touted for a summer transfer and City are keen to land him the report suggests.

Spanish neighbours Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will apparently both rival City in their attempts to land the former Santos man.

He is not the first left-back to be linked with a summer move to the Etihad. West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell, who would come with the added benefit of helping Manuel Pellegrini’s squad to meet homegrown player quotas, has also been mentioned.

But today’s report suggests that City have got their sights set firmly on Alex Sandro. The article does point out that with the player by no means a regular at international level, he might struggle to secure a UK work permit.

City will apparently do their best to force through any deal regardless

Haha, i lost my shit @ this post

Excellent LB, but would cost more than I'd ever think a LB is worth. He's got a great all round game and has been consistently oustanding in the CL in his 3 years at Porto. Doesn't score the goals that Danilo does from RB, but he's probably better defensively. Very aggressive defender, constantly trying to win the ball

Thanks. Sounds good, how is his crossing?

Would still probably cost around twice of our other targets

Cheers Oscar.

Did he and Mangala play many games together?
Yup, during last years disaster of a season under the horrendous Paulo Fonseca, but also in the previous seson when Mangala built his reputation. (where Porto went the season unbeaten, only conceeding a handful of goals)

Ha. Serious bump on this topic. To highlight, this topic is a couple of years old and was made in jest during a period of time when a lot of members made genuine topics regarding certain players because of their ability on FIFA.
