Good for her, better than most.
He’s moving onwards, and possibly upwards. He’s been in post for 12 years, and his abilities can be used elsewhere too.Wait, what's wrong with Dan Walker? Think he's impartial and a thoroughly likeable bloke
He is like a matt baker clone but with jesus thrown in.Wait, what's wrong with Dan Walker? Think he's impartial and a thoroughly likeable bloke
Seeing as there's lots of conjecture that he didn't jump but was pushed, maybe ask his bosses (ex bosses?) at the Beeb.Wait, what's wrong with Dan Walker? Think he's impartial and a thoroughly likeable bloke
He used to part host the Open Golf on BBC, (not sure if he did the last one but the bbc gave up their rights early to Sky) ) but he would never be available for the final day as it's a Sunday and his religious beliefs prevent him working on the Sabbath. I don't think he works in football on Sunday's as well. He’s moving onwards, and possibly upwards. He’s been in post for 12 years, and his abilities can be used elsewhere too.
No, I’ve generally watch soccer Saturday for a few years now myself. Yes, think you are correct about Sundays. He used to part host the Open Golf on BBC, (not sure if he did the last one but the bbc gave up their rights early to Sky) ) but he would never be available for the final day as it's a Sunday and his religious beliefs prevent him working on the Sabbath. His choice but he was lucky to be allowed the privilege of picking and choosing.
As for Alex Scott, she's the female equivalent of Walker and Jermaine Jenas, totally bland and inoffensive, won't be watching as I haven't with Walker.
Some of the best presenters and commentators on a lot of mainstream sports have been enthusiastic sporting amateurs. Murray Walker, Sid Waddell, John Arlott, Des Lyman, Bill McLaren, David Coleman, Brian Moore, Peter O'Sullivan, Motty, Brought Scott, Harry Carpenter, etc plus some ex pro's like Ritchie Benaud and Peter Alliss who in their day were imperious on the Mike. What cracks me up is those moaning she is relpacing walker while not having played football at a level they deem high enough and because she isn't a journalist
She had a bachelors degree in sports journalism, been doing punditry for the past few years and at least played profesional football. So is more qualified than halve the football presenters we have on major channels such as stelling, walker and humphries as she was a footballer.

Cricket currently has a lot of ex players but they are able to put aside any bias and provide thought provoking, intelligent and concise views on the game, good or bad.
With football, the ridiculous overkill of rags and dippers has made a mockery of serious punditry. There's a huge anti City bias there whilst sucking up to the aforementioned and quite often London based teams. Football has a serious lack of talent (and or independence) within the media, both written and spoken.
