Perhaps mate but it’s also possible in the absence of Rodri, Stones etc that we just looked a bit tired and ‘off it’ for a significant portion of the season which was seen by the lower levels from Haaland, Dias and a few others.
Hopefully what we have bought added to the players returning (from injury and to form hopefully in Foden) will see us have more energy and get a bit of momentum going from the off.
I’d prefer to see Haaland and Rodri get taken off early (60 mins) more if we’ve put a game to bed, that reduces fatigue and risk of injuries. We have a deeper squad so can use subs/rotation to good effect.
I think we are going to be back nearer to our previous levels after an understandably lacklustre season by our standards.
