The lying fucker does not even know how our Parliamentarian system works, they must not teach that at Eton, they just assume we do not know either.

14 million did not vote for him, 25,351 voted for him as MP for Uxbridge. The UK does not have a Presidential system.


The Prime Minister by definition is the First minister amongst equals of the largest party/coalition than can form a majority of MPs in the HoC.

The man is insane.
 
I see parallels with Johnson and my dad, lamentably.

My dad, born into abject poverty, incredibly intelligent, made his fortune by taking risks. An inveterate gambler. Like one or two of the protagonists in the Deer Hunter, he became addicted to the feeling of taking a crazy risk and it coming off. tbf, it has to be so seductive.

This addiction meant my dad taking reckless decisions in his dotage, and kidding himself that he was still invincible because of the calculated risks that had paid off previously.

It was tragic to watch at times.

The Prime Minister is like my dad. Johnson is addicted to taking risk and getting a positive outcome, and like any other addict, he needs help.

He has completely lost touch with reality.

I think you are over stating their importance and the frequency of such decisions. In a couple of weeks there is a 6 week shut down of Parliament and they will all be on holiday, so two days without a rubber stamp won't make much difference.

My dad (btw) is not dead. That post reads like he might be.

And he’s now cured of his addiction, but it came at a high price.

We have had that for over 2 years.
I’m a little puzzled as to why a raft of MP’s, who kept him afloat less than a month ago, have suddenly had an epiphany though. I do think this fiasco has ensured a day of reckoning for the vast majority of them awaits, which is a good thing.

Perhaps, but Parliament being in recess does not mean Government stops. There have been multiple comments today both on the news and in committees that things are just not happening and this situation has been worsening.
