If you employ 10 people on £10ph for 10 hrs per day to lift one ton of broccoli - thats a labour cost of £1k per ton.
If you do the same but give them £30ph making that a labour cost of £3k per ton.
Following Johnsons logic I fail to see how that is increasing British productivity.
