He's a bit of a ****.
Surprised he is on as they never usually are!JRM's attempt to defend Johnson on Newsnight right now is comedy gold - muddled, mistaken and laughable - just called the Leader of the Scottish Conservatives " a lightweight figure" - open warfare in the Tory Party tonight
His “apology”/excuse in the Commons today was laughable, and he cut a fairly pathetic figure. Still wouldn’t surprise me if he managed to ride this out, but shame on the Conservative party if he does. They’re morally bankrupt.
The electorate should remember every single one of them that has gone out to bat for him tonight. They’re all complicit in this. That’s the big thing about today for me - the depths his colleagues are willing to go. It is knowingly normalising behaviour that is so far past what was previously deemed even remotely acceptable.
What a bizarre human being that is. A mealy mouthed relic of a bygone age.JRM's attempt to defend Johnson on Newsnight right now is comedy gold - muddled, mistaken and laughable - just called the Leader of the Scottish Conservatives " a lightweight figure" - open warfare in the Tory Party tonight
Its even better that he remember now exactly how long he spend at this none party event. You wonder how many many canapes he and wine he quaffed in such a short space of time?

You‘re right though - let’s hope it’s a savage, bloody civil war.
