What a bizarre human being that is. A mealy mouthed relic of a bygone age.
You‘re right though - let’s hope it’s a savage, bloody civil war.

gonna be a vicious place to be going forwards - local elections - utility bill rises - Brexit challenges - I suspect that finding someone wanting to take that on will be tough so its likely they will let him take the rap for all that and then leave in disgrace

The papers all hate him - there is a YG poll tonight showing a collapse in Tory support and that covers the period PRIOR to todays events - another one tomorrow would be very interesting.

That’s the big thing about today for me - the depths his colleagues are willing to go. It is knowingly normalising behaviour that is so far past what was previously deemed even remotely acceptable.

It has got to the point now that anyone that would vote for them is either immensely stupid and doesn’t understand just how damaging all of their actions are or they are complete and utter wankers themselves. The worrying thing is that even though there’s been a significant shift, that’s still apparently 28% of the electorate….
Great post. I think there is always about 28% who will vote for them come what may. Weirdly sociopathic. Our out of date electoral system means they will always be in power. Labour should’ve changed it to PR, but they got giddy on power and were too twitchy about the Murdoch and Harmsworth rags.

Yep, the issue with PR is neither of the two parties that are big enough to make the change to it will ever agree to it. Such a shame as it’s the only real way forward to both modernise our democracy and strengthen debate in parliament.

When the Tories chose Johnson as Prime Minister they knew he was a lecherous lying toad. He took this as the green light to continue to indulge himself. With a large majority in the Commons he put in place a Cabinet of thick, useless and subservient toadies who were fervent Brexiters. Frost, Hancock, Raab, Patel, Truss, etc. Not to mention his party donors who were handed multi-million pound, untendered contracts for all manner of Covid services. Honour? Decency? Johnson and his cronies are entitled autocrats who don't give a flying fuck for truth and decency if it gets in the way of lining theirs, and their pals, pockets. All at the public's expense. They’ve fucked us over good and proper with Brexit and the lie which hoodwinked the gullible to vote for it (saving the UK £350m a week to fund the NHS, anyone?) and now the whole shitshow surrounding Covid. Yet sadly the thick-as-pigshit electorate will still vote for the cretin and his party of corrupt sycophants. Infact the whole of UK politics is absolute bollocks. The voting system allows us to always be governed by a party who the majority of people didn’t vote for! How can that be right in a democratic society? It’s the main reason I’m turned off by politics and hardly ever post on this forum. Anyway that’s a separate issue. In the meantime, Johnson can suck my plumbs.
“Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.”
