Sure, but there must be a reason why. lots of people cant stand Johnson because he's a lying cheating twat. People cant stand the pisscan because he was a rag bullying twat.

so why dont you like Starmer?
This calendar year he has had 18 opportunities to ask the PM questions. 17 have been about cake. I couldn’t give a fuck if some staff had a drink in work anymore. He’s done it too. I want to him to challenge about energy prices. Jobs. Tensions in the east. Coronavirus measures to help businesses.

He’s no credible opposition. All he’s after is trying to remove someone from a job. Raynor is worse. Imagine her well renowned diplomacy skills if she had to talk to Putin if Starmer was unavailable. We’d be blown out of existence!!

Id argue 2016 more than either of those. Everything that’s happened domestically since has been a direct result of Brexit, it was always going to end in Johnson or someone attached to vote leave in charge at some point as there is no alternative that anyone else could give that could placate their respective voter base for it. The consequence of it is he’s been able to survive so many actions that should have been resigning or vote of no confidence matters. I do blame Corbyn for 2016 too still though.

That was always going to be the biggest risk with it, at least in the short term - the impact on domestic politics, not the relationship with the EU. That might change as we start to come out of the pandemic properly though. 2024 is still a while away and the impacts are going to be a lot easier to define and Im not convinced the culture war is going to be enough for them to mitigate the impact when the reality of what they’ve signed up to really starts to hit home.

It’s also why the conservatives will be desperate to keep Johnson in for another year if they can and then make the change so they can do their reinvention in time for the next election and hope people don’t twig (again) that national political debate over the last decade hasn’t actually been about the important things at all, just what causes friction within the conservatives themselves.
There was a logistics and transport haulier boss from Folkestone on James O'Brien yesterday talking about the present situation and how it will get worse as new regulations kick in. He predicted that we would be eating grass by Autumn.
Should help with the diet.....

You don't understand what is going on. The questions are NOT about cake per se it is far more important than that it is about lying to us and Parliament. We must be able to trust the person in the highest position in the country. Lying puts into doubt everything someone says. Think about that. How important it is that the PM should be trusted to tell the truth. We are not talking about spinning the truth but not telling the truth.

Absolutely mate.
Thank God we've got 'Afghanistan Sun lounger' Raaaaab to step in for BoJo ( or even Nadine Dories at a pinch).

I did want to start on a new thread on this but considering the fact that this bird brained far right ideology is all about saving boneheads bacon I resisted the temptation,

The latest brain fart is that plans are afoot to change the period which an unemployed person has to take a job in their chosen skill sector has been reduced from 3 months to 4 weeks. Which on the face of it sounds like a common sense. The reality is that when you are in this position (which I have am not or have not been) trying to find and be able secure a role in 4 weeks is a tall order to say the least.

IF you consider the fact that most skilled jobs have a months notice and you are lucky enough to get straight back into employment the chance are under the new regime you are going to be a few weeks with no money. The alternative ius that you take a lower paid job of any description so you can pay the rent and keep food on the table (if you are lucky and the job pays enough?

It then begs the question what is the point for young people studying and developing skills? If you become an engineer which I believe can be quite precarious from time to time. For example the company that I work for takes on lots of apprentices and then once they are qualified (we have to pay them a proper wage) most are let go. This is not uncommon in other industries and precisely what the big accountancy firm like POWC do with its auditors.

The only question remains is how do you get the bus loads from the north down to the south to pick fruit and work in hotels and get the back each day?
