Panorama was a bit of a disappointment. Although there were three or four civil servants who made some damning comments, there was nothing really new, and the focus at the end seemed to be to show equivalence with Starmer having a curry and beer whilst on the campaign trail in Durham, and giving IDS free rein to spout unchallenged bullshit about Johnson’s achievements and tell us that he is a misunderstood genius and should be backed and that he really believes his own narrative about not lying to Parliament.
