I am not a fan of may at all. How good does she make Cameron look?

Cameron was a smooth operator and had a good political antenna, but then got it horribky wrong with Brexit. He gambled and failed horribly. He will come across as a lot less assured in the years ahead.

Cameron was a good public speaker but ranks alongside Thatcher, Blair, Manson etc in terms of sheer evil. Can't blame him for Brexit (Blair's immigration policies caused that) even if that's what posterity will remember him for, but he should be remembered for telling one of the biggest lies in modern British political history...'we're all in it together' as he took an axe to those on the lowest/no incomes while simultaneously slashing the top rate of income tax, inheritance tax and corporation tax.

It was an arsurd thing for an Old Etonian who is married to a woman from ridiculously old money to say.

Manson? Charles Manson?

Thanks, mate.

Not sure I’d characterise him as especially evil, mind. Just hungry for and corrupted by power. Aren’t most politicians the same?

Difficult to say whether he was corrupted or not, I just think people like him and Osborne find it hard to empathise with the poor and working class because they don't exist in their worlds which is why we got the tax-cuts at the same time as the welfare cuts. Unlike the Labour party at the minute, I actually agreed with Cameron that the deficit needed to be eliminated but the way he went about it was heartless at best. Even though she's not got Cameron's spin, I have a lot more respect for May because she's not from that world and seems to have more compassion which is why she's hated in her party. Surprised you're not a fan, you've always struck me as a left-wing Tory tbh.
