'It's a political stitch up"

That's UK speak for "It's a witch-hunt"

Must still be mates with Bannon.

Shows how much bollox they were spouting over Sue Gray - when something isn't going their way they flail about looking for deflections and filling the space with as much BS as possible to obscure what is going on. Thing is their pliant press and a lot of their constituents are sick of being fed a diet of BS.

I’d say right in the first sentence, opposite in the second.

His followers are very much QAnon-esque and whatever the likes of him come out with, they will follow.

And that’s what he’s always been, a good leader who convinces people with his rhetoric. That a good leader can be a bad thing, especially where a country is involved, some will fail to see.

Convincing people with lies is not the mark of a good leader. Its the mark of a charlatan and a shyster - he is a chancer - a gambler who throughout his life got away with the lies and the cheating and was never held to account however depending on who you are you hit a ceiling and you are found out. Mussolini found that out - as did Nixon - even Lance Armstrong ran out of road and when people like them look around they suddenly have no friends no supporters and no influence. All the enquiries and reports and either losing his seat or stepping down in the hopes of getting another will end up with diminished influence and his acolytes will melt away. People like him always end up the same way - scratching for a living - ex-wives milking them for what they can still get - friendless with a phone that seldom rings.

Their entire existence is like a Bell Curve and Johnson is now on the down slope hoping he can arrest the slide but they never can.

What is the obsession that people have with this man ? A Leftie thing ? The people who look under their beds every night thinking there might be a Nazi hiding there ?
People waiting for Corbyn to lead them to the promised land ? People who have become a cult ? People brainwashed like the Branch Davidians ?

For what it’s worth, I think Boris is a plonker, but that’s about it. Not intending spending the rest of my life raging about him hoping that some anonymous individual on the internet agrees with me.

It's about upholding the rule of law and making people accountable for their actions and choices. As a seemingly conservative sort of person I would have thought you'd support that?
