He will be an unmitigated disaster and brexit aside which he cant deliver in this parliament, he has no policies either worthy of serious discussion.

It really is time for a GE and hopefully some sort of reset in our domestic politics.

As a leaver - this is your man. The inevitable conclusion of the tory self implosion

Why would you not back Boris - who else could possibly unite the leave vote behind any 1 form of brexit? Who would you want to see have a go at it?

As a leaver - this is your man.

No he really isnt.

As a leaver and Labour voter i would have wished for Corbyn to have stood by his long held opinions on our EU membership instead of capitulating for no other reason that to try and desperately grab votes.

As a leave voter i voted for the UK government/parliament to take us out of the EU.

Parliament can own the fact that we now have Boris and the Brexit party with Farage back im afraid.

The next prime minister, will be delivered by Tory Party members, who are;

  • 70% are male...
  • 97% are white British.
  • Average age, 57, (40% aged over 65).
  • Members are concentrated in the southern half of the country,
  • Six out of 10 living in Eastern England, London, the south east and south west.
  • 86% of them in the ABC1 category, used by researchers to describe the 'top' social-grade.
That's democracy for you.

If this was happening in other parts of the world we would be calling them out for being banana-republics..

Whilst that is true there is nothing to stop every one of us joining their party and thus having a democratic say in who its leader is.

Thats the election, a new leader who becomes PM by default as they are in power.

The exact same argument can be made for the leadership elections of all the parties, especially if they too are in power and the leader becomes the PM.

So you expected Corbyn to actually stand for something but also to see it through? He will go down in history.. the leader of the opposition who couldn't take advantage of the worst Govt in living memory... Some achievement

The only thing stopping us was that you had to join by July 1st and, even then, you still only get a choice of Johnson or Hunt.

The more British ‘democracy’ exposes itself the more unseemly it becomes.

Whatever ones view on Brexit are, there is no doubt that it has shone a huge unflattering light on our lack of democratic processes.

Sorry mate but it is a democratic process.

You just dont like it nor do you choose to be a part of it because you dont want to join the Conservative party.

As i said it no different to the process that will elect the Lib Dem leader today or that of the Labour party.

Yet in spite of this obvious and stupid lie as well as all the others, it’s likely that a significant majority of Tory Party members will vote for the bullshitting fuckwit.

But then as a tory member takes a special kind of person a bigoted, self serving, money minded, toffs selfish grasping simpletons who were born with an essential part of their souls missing.

The fact that people think it’s democracy is a worry, whoever the party in question is.

How is it not democratic?

I can’t vote in the by-election next week in wales because I don’t live there.

It doesn’t make it undemocratic and neither does me not being a Conservative party member and having no say between Hunt and Johnson make that undemocratic.

Whilst persons with those attributes will undoubtedly be attracted to the Tory Party, I don't believe it's fair to tar them all with that brush. Many are just old and daft, and some joined the party at a time when it wasn't in the grip of the types you mentioned and are presumably are not particularly happy with the direction the party has taken, an example being supporters of MPs like Ken Clarke. There's no doubt that they're outnumbered by the old, daft and selfish ones though.
