I'm a believer in democracy and call it cutting my nose off to spite my face but we voted to leave.... no room for half measures... the "free trade" area is a play on words isn't.. it is far from free

It is free of Tariffs, customs at borders and has laws preventing any restrictions on trade - i.e. why your mobile doesn't cost you any more in the EU.

As for what you voted for, looks like a turd rolled in glitter. You got con'd - its anything to be proud of.

If a vote doesn't work out well a good democracy can reverse it. A vote that has to stand no matter how badly it goes isn't democracy it's more like a TV reality show.

His first appointment is that of Chief Whip. Who....voted Remain. He's got his excuse in early. I can see it now 'the whip didn't have the energy or belief, that is why we have another extension'

typed it while on site! will do later - you should get the gist.

Think I’ve worked it out, if you gave me a gold watch it would have to say labour on it?

Anyhow you will not find a poster disliking Labour more than me anywhere on this site, in fact I have just served by ban on the Labour thread because I dislike them greatly.

I personally don’t need a tax cut my salary is average the wife’s is better combined about 60k so not loaded. Now would a tax cut be nice obviously. Would a tax cut for you be nice? Ditto. Let’s say you got £1400 a year more as a guess. Now we can’t give every low earner that money there is more of them obviously. But morally I would rather give 7 people £200 more, hell I would rather give 14 people £100 more.

Be honest how much do you need £1400?

That's your first mistake... never assume. I didn't vote leave

My two lads were the priority and my vote was made with them in mind... as mentioned, we voted as a nation to leave now we need to deliver

I get tired of that phrase...we voted to leave so that's what we have to do.

If we are more mature about it, we voted to do something with little to no facts available. Now facts have emerged I would suggest it would still be democratic to think again! If you or me were given a choice we would probably reserve a decision until more facts were available. If we made that decision anyway, then it appeared to be a poor one, we would probably change it.

Ultimately the government will not agree to a no deal Brexit nor any other Brexit deal. An election will be called to attempt to get a stronger majority to deliver a decision. To win that, Labour will likely offer a second referendum. The Lib Dems definitely will. The conservatives will then have to weigh up their chances of winning an election if they do not offer it.

We have plenty more uncertainty ahead!

Then if you voted to leave based on little or no facts you're a mug OR you voted on a gut instinct.. if you were a leave voter then you wanted to leave the club (EU) in simple terms

The choice was binary and I imagine many made the decision because they thought we would never ever vote leave and therefore they thought their vote was "safe" OR they really wanted to leave with zero fucks given about the consequences

Do you honestly think that the electorate will support remain? the only party winning an election are those who have leave in their manifesto.. we're a stoic nation and I expect us to vote as such... whether that is the right mentality is pretty irrelevant.. it's how we are
